Not that this matters but Mortenson claims were a superbowl contender if we sign Nhamdi. Let's hope our front office feels the same as well as Nhamdi.
If Jets resign Cromartie we are one legit threat down. To me the biggest threat is really Baltimore anyway.
Maybe, but there are some reports that Baltimore wants to resign 3 of the players they cut: Heap, Gregg, and Mason (albeit to smaller contracts). They also want CB Josh Wilson back and have expressed interest in their OG (Yanda) who is a FA, and one of the tops at his position.
It's all a bit crazy, because with this reddysetGO offseason, we don't even know for sure who has money, who has interest, who's calling whom. People are buzzing about all of the Dallas cuts as a sign that they're going after someone......but they were WAY over the projected $120M cap from what we could tell last week. It's going to be an interesting, wild, wild, week of activity.
There's been rumors/rumblings that Tampa Bay has offered Nhamdi 4yr/$58mil, $22mil guaranteed. Just rumors as of now. (From a raiders forum, so definitely take it with a grain of salt)

i guess. i just think people are taking the speculation way too seriously...crediting the Texans for being aggressive on this. we have no idea what/who the texans are really chasing.
Yea, but this time its bc you have the best FA corner and worst def team so it makes an obvious solution. At the same time, were also hearing, he may take less money and play with the jets, essentially saying...does he want to come to Houston. It'll be nice when players want to come to houston bc were a winning franchise and are focused on just that....winning
exactly..but for having the worst pass defense in the league last season, i don't believe these reporters would be suggesting this. it's not news or scoop...it's a guess. same guess a hopeful fan in a message board could make.
