not necessarily lucury, but a volvo S8 are nice and reliable used cars. Although the secondary market for them are very active so you will still be dropping mid to high 20's for one of those.
I have a 2009 genesis (bought in 2009)... at the time I looked hard at Lexus but in all honesty other than the name, I found the genesis to be actually my favorite. I actually really enjoy the genesis. the only thing is that I do think the service dept at Lexus has a few better perks (loaner cars, pick up cars for service from your work, etc).. however that may just be city specific dealers.
You can grab an 09 CTS for around 25k. Make sure you look at the 3.6 direct inject with sports package, and luxury package.
check out the reliability before you buy... http://www.jdpower.com/autos/ratings/dependability-ratings-by-brand/
WOW!!! I didn't know Nissan was so low. Why do I always hear about them in the same breath as Toyota and Honda? Must be because those are the Japanese big three.
Yeah try to get a G37S if you can. Fast car, handles great cause of the limit slip differential, and looks great inside and out.
ya i think nissan is riding the honda/toyota wave. we bought a 2010 altima and we paid like 23500 for leather but I4. the quality is blah compared to my 2005 camry. cheap insides, poor overall drive quality. horrible seats. we should have bought an accord instead my dad wanted a nissan (he had a 97 nissan back in the days).
Nissan's are really not that bad. That JD Power site is pretty crappy IMO. They have Jaguars as 5 star in dependability??? Wow....I have never of Jags and dependable in the same sentence.
I've got a 2007 infiniti G35x and it's super fun to drive. I also recently test drove an Acura RL and it was very nice. Maybe not as sporty, but definitely more plush.
get something with cooled seats, i drove my buddy's kia optima, that thing is so boss cooled seats with remote start = heaven now i want to get rid of my mustang and it's only 5 months since purchase
The only issue I have with the G37 coupe is the fact that when you're on the highway, it sounds like you're in the cockpit of a jet engine. You can't even have a conversation, it's so loud. Also, the back seats might as well not even be there. It's impossible for a full-grown adult to sit in the back. But, for that price, you'll be getting a quality car. Comparable cars in that category (BMW 328i coupe, Audi S4, Lexus IS350) will all run you about 6-10k more.
Well, we have a 2008 Altima and I cannot brag on that thing. Constant problems. We are looking to get a new car sometime, maybe later this year and we are seriously looking at Kia. Everything I have heard about the newer models has been excellent. Also, I think a lot of it just has to do with maintenance, use and sheer luck when it comes to mechanical products.
I have a 2009 G37S sedan. The factory tires cause a lot of road noise, but I have never noticed it being so loud as to be a distraction. The Michelins I just put on it are much quieter, so I wouldn't think that it would be a concern.
