he's afraid his season ticket prices will increase. did you hear me? DONNY MOST HAS TEXANS' SEASON TICKETS!!!!
perhaps my impression of it comes from my frame of reference. outside of ESPN, around these parts, we have the Houston Chronicle. It's easy to forget that I can go to Yahoo! sports for decent writing. Or to any one-horse back woods podunk outfit for something better than the Chronicle.
I don't see the Jets spending that kind of money when they want to resign both of their 1st and 2nd receiver.
No, I don't. What I'm against is this guy prattling on and on about how we're going to get Aso when we have little reason to think this going to happen. Dollars to donuts says he is pulling this stuff straight out of his butt. Don't toy with my fragile little Texan heart, Mortimer. (And even if he is right, he is totes blowing our cover in negotiations... sabotage!)
Hey Nnamdi, if you want to get into acting, I'm fairly certain Mattress Mack, and C&D Scrap Metal will let you star in your own commercials. Come on man, you've gotta start somewhere!! Yes, I know he was in Leverage, but getting your ass kicked in a 30 second clip hardly counts as a big break
I hear you. Seems every national guy thinks the Texans are going after Aso and all the local guys think they aren't legit threats to sign him. That said, none of the local guys say they've HEARD the Texans aren't going after him, just they don't think they would or don't think he would sign here.
same here. I'll skim over what gets posted here at cf.net and get a reminder of why I don't burn my precious minutes reading the Chronicle.
I may be a trick azz busta, but now I'm a trick azz busta who can call into sport radio stations and threaten to cancel my season tickets every time the franchise does something I don't like (only never follow-through with it, of course).
but the national guys don't say anything more than: "the texans need a CB really bad, so they must be after him."
Exactly. All they see is a Nnamdi Asomugha shaped hole in our roster. They don't see the fact that to get Nnamdi to fit into that hole, we'd have to grease him up with more cash than Bob McNair has ever spent on a player before. In addition to the whole, "does Nnamdi even want to fit in that hole?" question.
this is wrong thread for this, but this whole lockout has really magnified what a joke sports journalism is these days. adam schefter, after vincent jackson said he was not demaning $10 million or a promise he won't be franchised, tweets that (paraphrasing) "depsite what vincent jackson says, he is still demanding that". then adam schefter breaking news two days later "vincent jackson drops demands!!". so, we can't believe what is coming out of a man's mouth, but it's breaking news two days later?
