    2. Who's the most underrated shooting guard in the NBA?

Noam Schiller, Hardwood Paroxysm: Kevin Martin has a reputation as a lottery-team dweller, a stat chaser and a terrible defender. I think even he would concede the latter, but the first two are neither reasonable nor reality-based. Mini-Mart is one of the best scorers in the game, capable of scoring from literally anywhere, and should be treated as such.

Martin has flaws, but he has really improved since late December 2005, back when he was a career backup.

He will never be a star until he learns to ballhog at the end of games.
Seriously. He completely disappears and instead relies on going to the foul line, which the refs won't call as eagerly during crunch time.

So after he realizes he can't go to the foul line, he just defers to everyone else on the team.

It's not like he sucks. His mid-range game is as effective as Tracy's was, three point game better than anyone I have ever seen on the Rockets.

He's a better shooter than T-Mac ever was (considering the number of 3 pointers he takes). He makes scoring look so god damn easy.

At least he runs the floor well without the ball so that anyone can find him. The one thing that would edge him closer to being a star imo is to develop his greediness for the end of games and take over the scoring for the team

I find it funny that in the same article, Monta Ellis was mentioned 3/5 times as the most overrated SG. Is he really that overrated? IMO, yes. People on this thread have been saying that he and Kevin are equals in their skill level. Kevin needs more praise for his efficiency on the court
