It's a sad story. I think that if people want to find the joke in such a situation then they should be able to take the backlash. Risk vs Reward.

Lame jokes about dead people is never cool, even if you get paid for it.

Amy Winehouse has literally nothing revolutionary with her music from a musical perspective(Music Major from UT san antonio speaking) Although as far as the meaning of her music and the message behind it, how can anyone possibly say that we, as a collective whole, should be mourning someone else? Her death is a big deal because more people cared about her. Her music has touched so many people in so many ways, from recovering drug addicts to people in the middle of there own personal battles. I don't believe that music is truly meant for the people that dissect it in a science, Like myself. I believe that music is meant for the people that listen to a song, with limited music knowledge, and it truly causes them to think about some aspect of themselves. If her music collectively causes a group of people to share that moment of clarity with each other, then she has done the world a great service. She didn't have to be a perfect human being with a positive image. She only had to cause people to think.

Did you know that Townes Van Zandt's music helped many manic depressives overcome that disease. Yet sadly Townes never shook the disease himself.

So I just saw pics from Amy Winehouse's funeral.

It was held in a crematorium, so obviously her remains will be cremated.

The pictures showed all of the men wearing yarmulkes. She was apparently raised in a Jewish household, and the funeral service was Jewish.

Yet, cremation is not allowed in Judaism.

    Discuss amongst yahselves.

You know, I might get flamed but she did have a sexy smile, especially in the I cheated myself video. The amy before drugs I could have totally dated.

Sick of hearing how tragic amy winehouse death was. She got it made and refuse to help herself. Musicians and actors are a bunch of dumb a**es, they make all this money and always find a way to overdose themselves. It's like if you are a celebrity, you can get away with murder and drugs and people will always praise your work and buy your albums. Our society is F*** up if you ask me. Look how chris brown beat up his gf 2 yrs ago and he came out with this stupid song , "look at me now. I'm getting papers".

Look how blind the fans are

So i don't give a rat a** about amy winhouse. Just another idiot gone on this earth. While people like Justin Allen 21, Brett Linley 29, Matthew Weikert 29, Jesse Reed 26, Matthew Johnson 21, Zachary Fisher 24, Brandon King 23, Christopher Goecke 23, and Sheldon Tate 27 were Marines that gave their lives last month for you people. No media for them. No mention of their names. At least that's one bad influence other kids doesn't have to look up to or become another drugie like amy winhouse.

I think it's pretty ****ed up to encourage your kids to fight a war over oil resources and masquerade it under the facade of "freedom". How are these guys automatically heroes and inspirational? Because they get to torture the bad guys? Is this a Bible thing where it's written you should blindly serve your country to gain acceptance into heaven?

Whereas someone with Winehouse's talent was unquestionably inspirational to millions, despite all her vices and internal conflicts. At the same time her flaws appealed to the perverse nature of humans. The outcry isn't due to celebrity glorification; it's over the wasting of a once in a lifetime talent. Something you obviously can't relate to.
