Never had been out here. Getting ready to leave. It was freakin awesome. Came out here for Uncle Junior's funeral. It was beautiful. my unc moved out here about fifty years ago, met his wife of fifty years. they moved into this co op and downtown that must be worth a pretty penny. they never made a bunch of money but the lived downtown. anyway funeral was beautiful, representative of the town. the black family and the asian neighbors. soulfood and chinesefood at the house afterwards.

anyways, hadn't been here since i was two so hadn't never really been here. man, saw fisherman's wharf, passed over the bay bridge several times, saw the ballpark both AT&T and candlestick from arriving at airport. stayed out towards berkley. just unbelievable scenery. you guys really have great. drove through chinatown, i was like man, it really is a little chinatown. had a great town under not so great circumstances but i'm so happy i saw it.

There is a reason why it costs a zillion dollars to live there.

    SF is nice.

Driving out to Muir Woods and driving through the mountains to Muir Beach is really nice as well.

Yes, it's a beautiful city, filled with endless things to do, and with a climate all its own. My S.O. and I took our teenage daughter to San Francisco for her first visit back in June, spending a week there, and we had a fantastic time. She can't wait to go back!

I love visiting San Francisco. My wife and I had such a good time there over the years, we decided to have our wedding in the Shakespeare Garden in Golden Gate Park. The city itself is a fun, vibrant place, and the drives north into wine country and going south down the coast are awesome too. Unfortunately we haven't been in a while, but we're working on setting something up soon. I look forward to taking my kids there one day.

Natives like me probably take the city for granted...

I work in the tourism/hospitality industry. If anyone needs hotel hookups, just send me a message.

pgabs, why don't you do like your uncle and move out there? If you like it, you can live there.

I just love San Francisco's weather. I went there in the summer 2 years ago and dealt with chill 60ish degree weather while the rest of Southern Cali dealt with temps up to 95. :)

Regrettably I have only been once about 7 years ago for work but i loved it, arrived late at night, airline lost my luggage w/my suit , really pissed because I had a meeting the next morning, fell asleep - then woke up, opened the drapes and saw blue skies and the transamerica pyramid right out the window, the water, bridges etc and was instantly in love iwth the place.

Heading back there in september for fun, looking forward to it.

I've spent a lot of time in SF. The scenery is great, but never really liked the city that much aside from that.

Much prefer SoCal. Orange County FTW
