not only have i been watching skyler since Dead Wood, go look up Spike Lee's school daze to see Gus playing Big Brother Almighty. School Daze is actually a funny movie. And of course Walt is Tim Whatley from Sienfeld. Awesome cast, I don't get tired of the acting.
Thought the first episode was very predictable and expected. Nothing really to get excited about, I'm hoping it will get better though.
Spoiler i know what you're saying about walt knocking off jesse, but walt has always stuck up for jesse and their relationship really gerw strong last season. Walt is protective of jesse in some weird way, almost like a father. I do believe walt when he says it's jesse or no one. I do think that if jesse did get taken out, Walt would surely go on cooking, but i would also expect there to be payback of some sorts later down the road after Walt got his money.
between the bed pans and the throat slashing (unless there's some really hot lesbian action to compensate) i don't think this is a show i'm going to be watching.
Bad episode? Really? The way they express the emotions of each character in this show is top notch. I genuinely feel bad for Hank, and I'm not even going to get started with Jesse. Aaron Paul is an amazing actor, and the way he acts out Jesse is just amazing. I loved the Jesse scenes in this episode. Especially the last scene of the episode which showed the state he's in at the moment.
So lemme guess, you like Family Guy then? This is character development, this is how a story evolves and grows. If you want a show of punch lines with no lead ups, Family Guy is perfect for you!
I hate Family Guy. I enjoy Jesse and Hank's roles in the first two seasons. Jesse is at his best making poor decisions but showing redeeming qualities of guts, loyalty, and pride (often chewing out Walt when he is belittled). Last season he spent the whole season moping about (poor me) and I would prefer to not see it again. Monster Trucks and WWE Wrestling and WNBA.........
I thought Walt would be smarter than to just go to Gus's house with a gun right after the whole Gale fiasco.
finally watched last weeks episode - who was it that called walt when he was in front of gus house? the new guy? the emo-jesse stuff needs to stop. its killing the momentum of the show. and i thought focusing so much on him and his friends is kind of pointless. i get it - they wanted to show that jesse is really scared of being alone and did not want to be in an empty house - they just didnt need to spend so much time on that subplot - and the part w/ all the partiers sleeping on the floor looked like it was taken right out of "kids". and if hank isnt back to kicking ass by episode 8 or so im going to be mighty disappointed. that subplot of him being a dick to his wife and feeling sorry for himself is getting tiring. i wonder if the rock (mineral) collecting will come into play later? thru studying rocks he gets into chemistry and uses it to figure out walt? the direction that the series goes from here on out is entirely dependent on hank. will he go back to the DEA or will he become walts "mike"? speaking of which, mike wont be around much longer - the nosebleeds and coughing...
The emo Jesse and the sulking Hank need to stop real fast. Last episode was 20 min of Jesse getting wasted and 20 min of Hank pouting. WTF, we get it already.
Episode three seemed like more of the same. The story seems to be moving much slower then I remember. Season one had such eventful episodes. At least it looks like Hank is taking a turn towards a more interesting journey. Aaron Paul is a good actor playing an interesting character. I wish they would do something more exciting than dealing with depression (for the fiftieth episode in a row). Have they written Walt Jr. out of the story (not that I really care)? I can't recall seeing him this season. Is he off at college? Also, give me as much Saul Goodman as you can. The character /actor is awesome in every scene he has.
