Any 21 year old major leaguers are very talented. You can count on that. Anyway, Brown is a 6'5" five tool player and Altuve is like 5'5". It's not hard to project Brown's potential over Altuve's. It doesn't mean Brown will be better necessarily, it just means he has the physical tools to be better.
Nice to see Wandy right the ship before the deadline. Seven innings, three hits, two runs, a walk, seven strikeouts--not a bad line to wave around at other GMs. Assuming Mills doesn't let him pitch the eighth, of course.
He sounds like he may be a pretty good player. I looked him up and did a Google image search of his name....very strange result, lol.
His first name is actually Domonic. If you search using that you'll have better results. Results that don't include penises.
I just have this terrible feeling that we're not making any more trades. I find myself hoping for other teams to have injuries just so we can move someone.
My guess would be that there is a game.of chicken going on with Pence/Beltran. As long as there are two options, buyers can shop around. Especially if one of the two goes to Atl or Philly, in which case I.bet the other team would be pretty motivated to deal for the remaining player.
Often if feels like in these situations, a third team sneaks in to get the one of players first starting the dominoes. I still feel like Cleveland could make a move.
If it's true that a Beltran deal has to get done on or before July 30 so he has 24 hours before the deadline to waive his no-trade clause, you'd think that there would be time for Pence talks (if he hasn't been traded by then) to heat up really quickly before time runs out.
Pence isn't helping his value with the little slump he is in currently. Average now at .309, the lowest it has been in a while. Still good but on a downward trend lately.
can't imagine that mlb gm's are that fickle where they'd ignore the first 80-whatever games for the past 3.
MLBTR via Nick Cafardo: •According to an Astros source, the team intends to hold on to Hunter Pence. However, Cafardo points out that could change in the offseason, with the new ownership group (and possibly a new GM) in control. •There hasn't been a whole lot of interest in Brett Myers yet. "We’ve had a couple of bites from National League teams, but not much else," said an Astros official.
Can somebody post this http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/feat...ttp://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/features/rumors and/or this http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/blog....go.com/mlb/blog?name=olney_buster&id=6797270
Well, I doubt Ricky Bennett was scouting Biddle for no reason and their isn't another Stros that the Phillies would be looking at. I assume the Stros are putting out a smokescreen to increase some value, hoping some team will get desperate and overpay. That said, I'm getting a feeling that Bourn, Wandy and Myers won't come back to Houston but Pence is 60/40 to return on August 1st.

Skaggs and one of their young pups at 3B....either Davidson or Bochering. We'd have to eat some salary but Skaggs would be worth it. They wont give us Jarrod Parker.
