You guys ever think about getting Yi? He may be a good option for us at the 5 and he is an unrestricted free agent, right?
Yi = the stretch 4 version of Stromile Swift. Physically fast, mentally slow. Motiejunas is a better prospect in the Yi mode at this point.
Let me guess - signing him would just be gravy for a Rocket team already poised for the Finals, right?
Yi is a player that looks good on paper, but he doesn't give you much in actuality. He doesn't seem to care most of the time and his basketball IQ isn't all that high.
The only thing Yi is good for is as a spread 4 or 5. But even at that, we have a young big in Donatas Motiejunas, who can do that and a whole lot more. No reason what so ever to even look at Yi as a free agent.
Yi: (to himself) Moving to Houston obviously didn't make him any less crazy. I don't understand sh** this guy is saying, but my English tutor back home is from Hong Kong even though I told my agent I need someone who specializes in Black American, but he laughed me off and said, "What's the big deal? English is English!" I'll just pull down my shorts, that'll kill this one-way conversation....
Going to guess this statement has something to do with it. "Salaries fell short of guarantee by more than escrow amount; owners owe players $26 M" "So while they threaten to keep players locked out for a long time, owners have to give them $188 million. Not a good day for owners at all." "Money will be disbursed proportionally with salaries. A decent little lockout warchest." https://twitter.com/#!/KBerg_CBS
