F*** #33. He basically said the whole city sucks. Plus, he pissed off Hakeem.

Rhodrick Rhodes and Kelvin Cato... I dont see how this combo hasnt been mentioned yet!

Seriously tho...Hakeem's a no brainer, so Hakeem + filler = instant championship contenders.

Taking Scottie over Moses is an f'ing joke.

Hell, I'd rather roll out a prime Barkley and Dream... Or Rick Barry...

I think the correct answer is:

    Pete Chilicut and Mike Wilks.

Call me crazy, but I'd want Hakeem and Mad Max. While Moses would be a huge improvement, I'd go to war with the PFs that the Rockets have. The Rockets need perimeter defense, and I'd take Maxwell over any of them. Besides, I think Moses might be a little bit too much of a black hole to work in a Princeton offense. (Of course, so is Maxwell, but you can justify not featuring him.)

How on earth can you say Moses Malone was not a true Rocket?! Shame on you!

I'm sorry, but don't ever refer to him as #33. #33 is:

Olajuwon in a no-brainer, since that would make us championship contenders alone. The 2nd choice is far more difficult. I will only consider players in their Rockets prime, rather than career. The obvious choices like Malone and Sampson don't really fill a need. I'd probably take McGrady, since he is the most talented player outside of Hakeem, but I'd give a lot of consideration to:

    John Lucas
    Kenny Smith
    Mario Elie
    Robert Horry
    Calvin Murphy

Mostly I am concerned with the SF & PG positions, and clutch shooting, and each of those guys would fit one of those needs.

    Who cares about need?

Moses Malone and Hakeem Olajuwon would never, ever lose, ever.

I think we are forgetting just how dominant Moses was on the Rockets. The guy was RIDICULOUS. RIDICULOUS. RIDICULOUS!!! You could make the argument that he was greater than Hakeem, even...

    Kyle Lowry
    Kevin Martin
    (Who gives a flying fart?)
    Hakeem Olajuwon
    Moses Malone

The question should either be 'excluding Dream' or 'what one player, with Dream, would you add to the current roster'?

Because if you aren't adding Dream to our gaping hole at Center, you're crazy.

If Dream is excluded, I take Moses and either Rudy T. or Robert Horry. Rudy averaged nearly 25 and 8 during his best years, and Horry is a great complement to any big man.

With Dream, I'd take Horry given our lack of SF right now.

I go with Hakeem an Moses.

I was thinking the problem with this team is we aren't mean enough so it would have to be Moses or Otis Thorpe and Moses is meaner. I hate to leave off Clyde and Sampson but we need more mean.

    Dream and Hasheem Thabeet.

Dream because he is a proven winner.

Hasheem Thabeet because he was awesome in his prime.

I’m with those that said Dream and Moses. BUT I can’t help and wonder what kind of damage a healthy Yao and Sampson could do. I would run a 7’6” Yao at the 5 and a 7’4” Sampson at the 4. For those that are too young to know, Sampson was 7’4” but had all the skills of a 3. A Yao-Sampson high/low post game with Adelman's offence would be unstopable. I mean Ralph had ridiculous skills. And when they paired him up with Dream he typically played the 4 spot though 5” taller. Depending on match ups of course. The man had skills though… Unfortunately, he like Yao, had his career shortened do to injuries. There is no question in my mind that, had he been able to stay healthy, we would have had 4-6 championships instead of 2. Sad really…

My two players would be The Dream and Steve Francis! The Franchise was one of the best point guards in his prime, unfortuantely, the only supporting cast he had was Yao Ming and he didn't even reached his full potential until the JVG era. Francis penetration, along with Olajuwon's inside presence (in his prime) will be a nightmare for any team (Much better version of Shaq and Penny combination).

    PG - Steve Francis
    SG- Kevin Martin
SF - Chase Budinger or Marcus Morris
    PF- Luis Scola
C - Hakeen "The Dream" Olajuwon

    = Championships!!!!
