You can say the same thing about drug addicts, alcoholics etc. biological urges propel us all, the whole point is control. I'm not going to judge fat people. but this whole genetics drivel is basically the ultimate cop-out. If it were true, 55% of all Americans throughout history would have been fat. I get what you and others are arguing though. Some people have a genetic predisposition to storing fat, and now because of our terrible lifestyle, it's manifesting itself. Still, it's bulls*** to cop most of that to genetics. You're "pretty sure" there's no difference between what fit people do and what fat people do? Where does this come from? You're basically counteracting volumes of medical research. Lifestyle and the environment play a big part, if it's mainly genetics, why is it that none of our ancestors were this fat? Blame society too and etc., I sure would with the way the system is geared. Still, that genetics argument only goes so far.
I'm not going to come out and call a person fat to their face, but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be encouraged to live a healthier life style.
That's half my point anyway. If our whole society has an eating problem (which it does), why single out the fat people to reproach? Efforts like reforming public school lunch menus, or NYC banning restaurants from using certain kinds of fats are treating it as a societal problem to be resolved. Telling an individual to stop eating treats it as an individual problem, which isn't going to be effective. It's not just individual choices; you want to change the drivers that inform people's choices and not simply insist on them willing themselves to be thin.

Hell yea fat people should be called out. It's embarrassing to our country we have such an obesity crisis. Eat healthy and exercise. Is that so hard?!
Awww, ya like mah nipples don't ya!? PUT IT IN MAH BELLAH! This topic of conversation is r****ded btw. Reminds me of the D&D. Mike and Molly say 'sup.
Agreed. I worry that we get tend to pick and choose who we bully based on some rather arbitrary subjective criteria Rocket River
True. And no one should ever get bullied about ANYTHING. But I don't think any discussion should be off-limits(especially on the internet). everyone is entitled to their own perspective
