I just have to say the original Final Destination might be a modern classic. This film is so good on so many levels. I'd rank it with Halloween as one of the best horror films of all time.
I forgot there was a second one. I thought it was a straight-to-dvd type so I never took it seriously. I'll probably download both later to fill in my "rate the last movie you watched" thread quota.
Saw both, the second one in IMAX, don't understand why people shiats on them so much. I actually quite like the concept. Maybe I'm just one of those people that really hates gore horror like saw and likes the more subtle ones. Iunno if I will see this one though. I think the originality is gone after the first two, don't know how much they can milk out of this one.
Final Destination was awesome. Too bad it went downhill in a hurry with 2. Top horror films of the last decade or so... 5. Paranormal Activity 4. Final Destination 3. Saw 2. Ju-On (the original) 1. The Descent Honorable mention to [REC] ... Quarantine had more action but the original had more story and a truly creepy ending. Neither nailed it on the atmosphere I thought. As for Paranormal, it was much better than Blair Witch. And while it wasn't immensely scary, it preyed on people's fears of the supernatural quite well. Haven't seen 2 yet but it's in my que.
Thought the first movie was boring but then went to see the second and came out thinking, did I just get ****ed out of 10 dollars again.....damn. There are better scary movies. I thought the Last Exorcism was better than PA. If you like 1st person horror there is Rec. and Rec. 2. Those are probably the best.
I believe there were three endings made. a) the one where Mika was thrown towards the camera (cinema ending) b) the one where Katy rocks back and forth by the bed (bonus ending) c) the one where she cuts her throat in front of the camera
I saw the first two in the theaters, and thought both were good. The third looks intriguing. I will probably see it.
my ending was mika gets stabbed off camera by Katy. this was explained by his voice screaming off camera and she returns to the room with the knife in hand and then she justs sits in the room for days. police finally comes after someone reports them missing, sees his body (this is all off camera), Katy snaps from her trance, still holding on to the knife, calls out for Mika and the cops shoot her dead. this off course makes no sense for continuity to PA2
have any pictures of the chick from the first movie's boobs turned up on the internet yet? that's really all i enjoyed about the first movie.
http://www.paranormalmovie.com/map/map.php#center=2/30.0/-7.0 looks like houston is excited about this movie more than others
I don't even watch these types of movie, the kind that seem way too real hit waaaayy too close to home. I got enough to worry about in my life than to have a ghost trying to haunt me.
Nope, they were in the 70's, imho... Starting with Dario Argento's Deep Red and ending with The Exorcist... (Roman Polankis The Tenant, and Burnt Offerings too...)
