Roger Goodell: Good afternoon. The clubs approved an agreement negoitated with the players. Also approved supplemental revenue sharing for next 10 years. With ratification of NFLPA board, we'll be prepared to open facilities Saturday. Then start new league year Wednesday subject to players recertifying. Obviously now in a time constraint. Unfortunately we will have to cancel HOF game this year. Ceremonies will still go on. Hopefully we can work quickly and get this agreement done. Time to get back to football. Thats what everyone wants. We crafted a long term agreement, which is good for football. Anxious to get back to football Schefter: In email to player reps, NFL demanding that NFLPA re-form as a union and provide evidence by Tuesday, July 26. Jeff Pash: No opts out in deal. Firm 10 year deal.
NFL owners approved the lockout by a vote of 31-0. Al Davis abstained on the vote due to not being available as the sun had not yet set.
Players aren't going to swallow this. If you're an NFL player and you want to know whether to vote yes or no on the proposed CBA from the owners, all you have to know is one thing, it was ratified 31 to 0. That right there should tell you everything you need to know about the contents of the offer. No offer that is fair would have every single owner's blessing. The owners haven't given the players enough time or info to vote on it, so they're playing hot potato... trying to slip a fast one past the players.

Well, he does have a lot to lose. Won't get paid as much if there isn't a season as his amazing 2010 will be forgotten by then.

I used to hate Arian Foster's tweets. They were all boring ass philosophy ****. Now, they're entertaining.
Why do the owners deserve 52%. The stadiums are largely funded by the public. They pay most stadium workers minimum wage. They screw cities over horribly in terms of financing. Look at the bengals and even our own bob mcnair. yet people always side with the owners.
I think the owners are greedy pigs. The players are the ones that have been getting screwed the whole time, in my opinion.
