The hospital sent me a check for 21 bucks because they apparently overcharged me.

Maybe this is their way of apologizing for leaving a pair of forceps in your abdominal cavity or something...

I wouldn't mind sending somebody $21 if I had been overcharging them hundreds to begin with. Sounds pretty profitable. :D

I had lower back pain and panicked basically. Silly reason to goto the hospital.

While that is staggering, gr8-1 I have yet another sign:

I got a ticket with TWO violations while passing through Johnson City last week. The first was for a license plate lamp that was out AND a window tint violation (too dark).

Well needless to say I was pissed. The car was tinted when I bought it and who checks their license plate lamps? Afterall, both are supposedly checked when I have the vehicle inspected, which I have every year for the four that I've owned the vehicle.

Like most people, it's usually more convenient to just pay the fine and go on with life. I decided that I was going to court when I found out that the $1 bulb for the license plate would cost me over $100.

The sign -- I show up for court, early. There is a 30 minute delay in my case being tried because both the accusing officer and/or the state prosecutor were late. The cop doesn't show at all and the prosecutor shows up (at the speed that he entered the parking lot, I'm comfortable that he broke a law or two himself just to get there). The prosecutor inspects my vehicle, which of course had the violations corrected. They drop the case and I walk without paying a dime! :D

    Hey, gr8-1:

is the UT medical clinic any good? My ear's been ringing for a couple of weeks now, and I've become mildly worried.

They have doctors and it's cheap. Good enough for me.;) I've never had a problem over there. Doctors and nurses are nice and they don't try to do too much. They test, treat what they can, but will also refer you to other doctors when needed. Go check them out.

BTW, how do you like our school so far?

Apologies for the 15-year bump, this should be an ongoing thread, we have plenty of ammo these days

Nordstrom's is selling $425 jeans that come with mudstains, perfect to match their fake work ethic I guess. I have so many questions...What if someone asks you what you've been doing, do you have to walk around with a new pre-fabricated story every time you wear them? What about fake callouses? Is there also a cologne that smells like sweat, cut grass and grease, so you can really pull the look off?

"Heavily distressed medium-blue denim jeans in a comfortable straight-leg fit embody rugged, Americana workwear that’s seen some hard-working action with a crackled, caked-on muddy coating that shows you’re not afraid to get down and dirty.” J Peterman's got nothing on that guy.

This could just be a marketing ploy for the maker, but the fact that it's even semi-believable says enough. Yes, I was on South Congress recently, these ****ing idiots will wear anything.

I see your muddy pants and raise you hole-ish sweaters and shirts. My sister was wearing a sweater with holes the other day. Things done change.

Remember back in the day when essays wore oversized checkered plaid,
looking like Yuli with the high hair tight fade?
mamis looking lovely with the see through lace blouse and choker necklace
turn your pages to twenty- seventeen,
holes in shirts, monicas wearing slim fit muddy jeans.
    Things done change!
