Must be nice to be jobless (although brief) and still be really rich and entitled to stuff normal muggles like us wouldn't be.

So... no one here parks in the handicap spot every once in a while to run into the score to buy/drop something off real quick? I rarely do it but I have a few times. Guess I'm just an ass

Absolutely not, I'll walk 50 yards at 3 in the afternoon at Walmart before I even think about parking in the handicaps spot. In fact, it's not even a thought.

Biggest dbag in the NBA. Shows no empathy for anything he does on or off the court. What a waste of talent.

Normally I'd consider letting the air out of his tires, but in his case I'd consider breaking his valve stems.

yes you are an ass for doing that - because if you are just going into the store real quick then I hope you at least turn on your hazards and keep the car running because if you have to turn off your car and park then you really are NOT in any sort of hurry to not just park in a regular spot

i know there are several people in LA that abuse the handicapped spots I see it on a weekly basis people who do not have the placard or license plate parking there or people who may have a placard but do not look in any way handicapped. It annoys the hell out of me those spots are there for a reason. Two years ago a handicapped man asked my help with some of his groceries out since he parked far and I did and afterwards I noticed he had a placard and I asked why he didnt park closer in the handicapped spots and he said they were full. I went by spots on the way to my car and saw 2 out of the 4 spots were occupied by cars that didnt have any placards.

I mean you have capable abilities to walk in -- heck even run into the store so parking 10-30 feet away really should not be that much of a burden for you to overcome..

I've known friends to abuse placards using them even after they've healed from their injuries because the placard was still valid and even that disgusted me and I confronted them about it, but at the end of the day if you are able to look yourself in the mirror and sleep well at night then there really is not much anyone can say.

Even more inexcusable for a guy like Bynum who is a multi-millionaire and a public figure to blatantly break the law like that. I remember reading he still lives at home with his mom - fine ask her to do the shopping she probably cooks for him anyway still. Or he has a chef that can do the shopping or anyone else. In a way I guess he is showing that he is a normal guy doing his own shopping - fine but seriously there are plenty of open f'in spots that would require you to take maybe an extra minute total of your time. Its not like he was being mobbed for autographs or anything. This is Bynum not Kobe Bryant

People who have placards I can pretty much say that 99% or more of them would gladly give up their placards to not be handicapped in anyway and just able bodied either physically or mentally.

Cops do not ticket people enough for this offense since its hard to really monitor driving in an out of parking lots I wish they did. I also hope that the Lakers once the lockout is over also impose some sort of fine/suspension on top of what the league gave bynum for this offense for further bringing a negative light on the org.

And apparently this WAS NOT the first time Bynum has done this:

The closest I've ever come to this is back in the day when I was dropping videos off through the slot at Blockbuster or Hollywood. Even then, I only parked there if there weren't any other places - and yes, I left my car running.

It's ridiculous how every damn LA sports radio shows talked about this damn incident the ENTIRE day. Who the hell cares?

I went to a small ups store that only had two parking spots in front of it. One handicapped, one normal. I had to drop off a letter real quick and the normal spot was taken. Parked, dropped off the letter... lady said please don't park in the handicapped spot next time as I dropped off the letter. I thought it was hilarious. I was in the spot for maybe 15 seconds.

I just think a lot of you guys are moral busy bodies. God forbid someone has an emergency and needs the to drop off their mail in the 15 seconds I happen to be in the spot.

I have a feeling most of the people asking what the "big deal" is park in handicap spots or engage in similar acts of entitlement. If you don't understand, make no attempt to understand, and insist on rationalizing it by calling people oversensitive, I don't think there's any need to discuss further. You've already proven your character, or lack thereof.

Well Bynum had a pretty empty parking lot, and he was just shopping for groceries. He was obviously just an lazy ******* who just doesn't want to walk the whole extra 20 feet to a correct parking spot.

Why not just park on the side out of the way with your blinkers on? You're equally likely to get a ticket in both situations.
