[Graphic] Flash flood washes family down waterfall in India

    WARNING, not for the faint of heart.

    Mother nature wreaks havoc on a family picnicking at a popular area in central India. 2 of the 5 people swept away by the current were later rescued... incredibly sad:

    that is terrible, really speechless and don't know what to say.

    all i know is, if i'd rather die than be alive knowing the rest of my family is dead, knock on wood

    Apparently signage was posted to not cross into the waterfall, plus barriers put up and this WHOLE FAMILY decided to ignore posted warnings and common sense.

    I feel bad for the young kids just following Ma and Pa but the adults were really really stupid, and therefor hard to feel sorry for.

    Sad indeed, but damn stupid of the grownups to take the family there.

    Mute the video (music can be pretty annoying)

    This was flash flooding in Jeddah. Killed 106 people, highways and roads turned into rivers with rapids.

    Never underestimate the power of water. That family in the OP's video were insane to sit there in front of such a big water fall.

    It seems like them all clinging to each other made it more difficult to survive. The father lost his footing and sort of dragged the rest of his family down with him.

    there was no reason to be in the middle of a waterfall of that magnitude, even if the water wasn't that deep at first. terrible
