It amuses me that in your attempt to sarcastically comment on the Casey Anthony acquittal you actually made yourself look stupid. None of the reasons that Casey Anthony was acquitted apply in this case.

 

I think he's drawing a parallel to the sentiment shared by some that Casey Anthony should have gotten off.

since it was mentioned and I haven't chimed in, Casey Anthony was rightfully found not guilty of 1st degree pre-meditated murder, IMO

No, its humor for those of us who aren't parading around on internet forums with moral senses of superiority which in actuality are merely insecurities being kicked into high gear by the threat of a viewpoint that clashes with Western Civilization's Ideal of Jesus and Calvin Klein tag team skull****ing the collective brains of our children into a vacuous state of catatonic machinery.

 

My heart goes out to their family but I also have a dark sense humor. At my sister's funeral I was crying and some lady came up to me and said, "Everything will be ok." I told her don't worry, "I'm just here for the Bud Light."

 

Doesn't it feel good to post any kind of crap you want and be as cruel and insensitive as you want behind a wall anonymity?

 

I bet it feels even better to cower behind Big Brother's jock strap while real individuals attempt to live their lives free of piss-stain moralists.

They (we) are the only animals that are aware of their own mortality and that drives some of them crazy. Or something else does. There are lots of things that could. I'm always most shocked by the "how could this happen" responses, no matter how reliably they come after a tragedy like this. When I hear them I always think, "How does this not happen every day?"

I agree and it surprises me that so many people feel differently. It would have been a miscarriage of justice to convict her because it seemed like she did it. As they say, better that 100 guilty people go free than that one innocent is convicted.

Our system of justice is one of the truly great things about this country. And, whether she did it or not, that system worked in Anthony's case.
