Peter Murphy - 2000 Peter Murphy Wild Birds 1985-1995 I've always liked Peter Murphy as the front man for Bauhaus, but his solo work is significant as well. "Cuts You Up" is just, well, awesome!
Been listening to older stuff and the following is an example: Devo - Q. Are We Not Men? Oasis - Definitely Maybe Sonic Youth - Goo
Emerson, Lake and Palmer Trilogy Brain Salad Surgery You can get lost in that type of music. Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
Funny, I'm listening to this too. Got it on emusic last week for $4.99 during rhino sale there. I was always led to believe it wasn't their best work, but I am really enjoying it, accessible yet still ecclectic. A little tame by CBahMB standards, but some great stuff on there.

Well, they brought the house down: http://www.cnn.com/2011/SHOWBIZ/Music/07/18/cheap.trick.stage/ (CNN) -- Classic rock band Cheap Trick got a scare Sunday night at the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest. The stage gave way while the band was playing, after severe weather moved into the area. No one was seriously hurt. "The stage blew down and collapsed," a statement on the band's website said. "Everyone is shaken up but band and crew are all fine." Manager Dave Frey confirmed for CNN that the band was unharmed. "One of our drivers will spend the night in the hospital and though we're not sure how, Cheap Trick are grateful and happy to say that everyone, including all the concert goers, are okay," Frey said. Rock band manager: 'It was like Titanic' A picture on the band's website showed a tangle of metal girders under a darkly overcast sky. The website for the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest said there were "no serious injuries." It also said that severe weather had forced the closure of all venue stages for the night. Cheap Trick is best known for its hits "Surrender" "Dream Police" and "I Want You To Want Me." And that makes this song from 2 years ago, with its chorus "We're never gonna get out of this place alive," near-prophetic: <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/esbINZUjrTY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Say Anything have a new album coming out?? I though S/T was supposed to be their last. And the TBS album was somewhat a disappointment. I was hyped up on the original lineup, since Tell All Your Friends was by far my favorite.
Well, they just signed with a new label, and are saying they will have unlimited creative freedom. They said the self-titled album had them being pressured to sell records. Apparently, the new label will not try to dull them down, which should allow them to be at their greatest. I thought the new cd would be out this year, but apparently won't be out until early 2012. I liked the new Taking Back Sunday. I've been listening to a lot of Foxy Shazam lately. These guys are crazy live.
Well ****, now they'll be busting out sweet jams in no time. Maybe they can even do a show with 3 Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin and acquire every douchebag cent they can.

Because they say they're going back to more of that sound? Or are you just speaking as a cool indie hipster?
