If I ever got cancer, or heart disease, or diabetes, the first thing I would do is give up meat and dairy. People underestimate how much a clean diet can completely reverse our nation's deadliest killers. Cause, you know, no one makes $$$ when people eat fruits and veggies and stay healthy.

Chiropractors and the flavor of the month cancer "cure' treatments won't. A couple months ago it was hydrogen peroxide cures all cancers!! My mother actually fielded calls to see if it was a viable alternative to regular cancer treatments. Do you have any idea how horrible that is?
If you started this thread trying to discredit the American Cancer Society, you are an idiot. Just because they discredit your cousin's alternative medicine theory doesn't mean they are garbage. There are a lot of people out there that are skeptical or alternative medicine, including me (in most cases). The fact of the matter is, as of right now, radiation and chemo-therapies are proven to be the most effective treatment for most types of cancers out there. This could change as soon as 10 years, or it could stay the same for 100, it's hard to tell (see: Kanzius Cancer Project). But like I said, if you think the American Cancer Society is a joke you are an idiot. They do far more than your cousin could ever do, specifically by way of fund raising and promoting researching. They are one of the biggest fundraising vehicles, for cancer, out there. For that, they are no joke.

Eating only fruit and vegetables would not be the most healthy diet either... nor is it "clean" or natural. Our body functions well when we also eat and nuts.
well of course...nuts, whole grains, beans, rice...essential for a balanced diet. there's a ton of other protein sources out there besides animal products.
