and the same goes for you, they've signed one big time free agent, whom half the teams wouldn't have touched.

All I know, is that this sh$% needs to get done. I need NFL Football. College Football will not do. What's left of the NFL offseason needs to start so that I can get my hopes up about the Texans signing Asomugha (or any other quality free agents) only to have Rick Smith completely destroy them by not really even trying. It's a sad existence I live as a Texan Fan....but I love that fuggin team.

But I'm not necessarily arguing that the Redskins sign every free agent available; only that, most things being nearly equal, Washington is a top destination for players because of the promise of national exposure and that the Redskins would certainly rank ahead of the Texans (again, most things being relatively equal) for that reason.

So with GQ moving to safety, and under the assumption that the CB1 will be a vet free agent, who's to be the CB2? Jackson, Allen, or a rookie? Please don't tell me McManis or McCain still have a shot outside of special teams.

Hopefully one of the rookies they drafted. Of the remaining scrubs on the team, Allen is the best, but I still wouldnt want him starting.

Right now, I'd say Allen. Harris probably has a legit shot at the spot in TC, as does Jackson. The only thing is Wade has not had many good things to say about Kareem.

I don't see them demoting Jackson, honestly. They're too invested to make him work. He should be more part-time, like he was at the end of last year, but he'll need to bomb in the preseason while a rookie wows for them to scratch him from the starters.

If they sign a veteran CB, I'd be shocked if Jackson doesn't end up playing Nickel more often than not next year.

I think that'll eventually be true, but initially, Jackson will be the one to get reps at CB2.

How I expect it to be

    CB1: Vet (Joseph or Taylor)

    CB2: Jackson (Allen cycling in)

NB: McCain (but probably cycling in Harris and Carmichael frequently)

    S1: Quin

    S2: Sensabaugh

    Principle Backups:
    CB: Allen, Harris
    NB: Carmichael, Harris
    S: Nolan, Keo

McCain better be working his butt off, because his job is in serious jeopardy. If one of the rookies comes in blazing, he's done.

He's got to be angling for a trade after he blasted Roethlisberger like that.

I guess. That's got to create some conflict in the locker room. You never see someone on offense/defense call out someone else on the other side of the ball.

I did laugh at the statement about not pissing on goodell if he was on fire.

Mccain wouldn't make it out of camp if it were up to me. He made Kareem Jackson look respectable last year.

Investment is not a worthy reason to keep one of the worst players on the team on the field. He showed no signs of ever being a competent starter last season. Hopefully Phillips is smart enough to realize that Jackson has pretty much no potential.

I wouldn't say he has no potential. With proper coaching, in the right secondary, he might be able to hold down the #2 or #3 spot. Certainly not worth the first round spot we took him at, but I'm giving him another year to show something.
