    No college football or hoops, no NFL, and no NBA. So we've been resorted to following women's soccer? Damn. Seven weeks till college football kicks on Sept 3.

    American pride til the day I die, but this is fairly painful to watch... having been a staunch supporter of the EPL for years, this style of football is very hard on the eyes. I've seen a well organized set piece here and there, but the ball movement is sloppy & one-on-one skill is severely lacking... it has the look of a HS-level match. The French captain just made an elementary attempt at a corner, softly clipping the ball out of bounds and behind goal.

    That being said, the US looks to be in good shape...
