So for the first time ever I saw cops give tickets on the metro rail. They were waiting on one of the stops. They arrested one guy and gave two tickets to some homeless folks. I mean what was the point of giving a ticket to someone who can't afford to pay anything.
Since they live in the streets, maybe sending them to jail will earn them more street creds. Just helping them out maybe?
A state trooper recently helped one of my friends' dad change a blown-out tire on an interstate so he wouldn't have to suffer possible heatstroke in 110+ heat index. Oh, wups. That wasn't a negative cop story. My bad.
I once asked for directions to a cop, he gave me this look like I was r****ded. But then helped me anyways.
If a cop somewhere once did something nice then that means that everything else that all cops everywhere do is forgiven.
If a cop somewhere once did something wrong then that means that everything else that all cops everywhere do is wrong. Damn....it hurt to type that with so many grammatical errors.
Wish he was around instead of the 3 cops that passed my wife and 1-yr old son while stranded in the left shoulder on 183 in Austin during rushour.
When I played basketball in high school, hell, maybe it was a middle school coach (I could have been that young) - we were told to always be on our best behavior. That even the slightest incident would be blown into something large because we were basketball players. We were held to a higher standard. We were in the limelight. More was expected from us. That's a lesson taught to a bunch of kids. One we all understood. Not a hard concept. The same basic principle obviously also goes for police officers. You're held to a higher standard.
The first mistake is holding athletes to a higher standard. The 2nd mistake is assuming that since police are held to a higher standard, all or the majority of police are bad when one fails to live up to those standards. In no profession are all members "perfect". Should doctors, lawyers, CEO's, politicians, etc. be held to a higher standard? They all fail, but they're not all bad. Ok, except maybe the politicians...
Who is this rep bandit? Posting a reply on an anonymous message board is too much confrontation for one too handle. It's probably just someone on this board you got into it with. Also, reckless driving is subjective.
