Interesting. Personally, I was more worried about Thibs in Chicago trying to swipe him away than a team like the Celtics. But I guess it makes sense since the Chuckwagon is essentially a 6'5" version of Perkins (minus the redonkulous paycheck).

He should continue to anchor the 6th best starting lineup in the league (that will only improve). If only we could get him some help in the form of a backup 5 that knows how to ball...
Its not just Lebron, that's the NBA. In this new age, how many guys are finishing their careers with just one team?
Work on yours, bringing Lebron up in ANY discussion about Chuck Hayes is a reach. If you can't comprehend that, it explains a lot. Loyalty doesn't exist in pro sports anyways. It's been proven time and again. As soon your hero can't play anymore he'll be promptly discarded by whatever NBA team he's playing for and his phone won't ring again. And he'll be told that it's business. So Chuck should go where he can get paid while he has the ability to play NBA basketball. Is that relevant enough for you? Do you comprehend?
you can act like you got some high ground here, but you just look the fool. There was no comparison TO Bronbron, his name was mentioned as a reference to players with no loyalty. Therefore, your initial over-reaction that you use to justify your entire point is a mixup caused by your own lack of comprehension. If you dont really understand the post you are responding to, do us all a favor and DONT POST.
Chuck should end his career as a Rocket Lifer. Screw the other teams in the league, this is a Rocket's bbs site and I will continue to root for the team to win a Chip every year and not give up to the rebuilding mode crap. Look at what the teams that compete every year, they keep their veterans and just add to their mix not do what most here would want the team to do and that is to rebuild by letting the rookies or second players take over.
Whatever dude, It's just dumb to call Lebron disloyal because exercised his right as a free agent after playing 7 years for his team (signing an extension once during that time.) If you ask me its stupid to expect loyalty in pro sports anyway (given its history) especially when we have a GM who openly calls his players assets and trades as much or more than any other GM in the NBA. BTW, U mad?
To me, with Yao retiring, we definitely want to retain Chuck's services, even as backup center and mentor to the younger players. He's team captain for a reason, and since Battier is not with us anymore, we need Chuck's leadership and locker room presence to maintain cohesiveness. Plus, the writer mentions that Celtics are top-heavy in the 4 position (so are we, but I defer to my previous statement above) and that there would less minutes for him there. Couple that with the fact that they would probably not offer more than a split MLE (if that were available after the new CBA is ratified). I hope Hayesfan approves of this post.
Only the legitimate superstars even have that opportunity. If Chuck wants to go somewhere else and you guys hate him over it. That's just going to be a shame...
It's because the NBA is much less talented than before. When guys like Anthony, who's skillset is that of a Kukoc, are considered superstars it's no wonder they feel they have to constantly look for the best option available.
