Someone convinced me that if you die in your dreams you die in real life, so I don't know if my dreams ever take that kind of a turn. Not that I would know I was dreaming, but in that state you always seem to know you're in control. It's a little jarring to have a dream with dead dad every once in a while, but really it just helps your lucidity right when you wake up. Those dreams aren't nearly as annoying as the multiple "fake-awakes" where you actually dream you're looking at your alarm clock.
Most of my dreams involve water, oceans, pools or seasides. Only very few of my dreams with water involve the feeling of drowning, but when I do have them I usually wake up before I do. One dream I knew I was going to drown so I just started swimming on my back waiting to start dropping and when I did, I felt very calm, like I was lying down on my bed and I could see the night sky through the water just as if I was lying on the beach.
I never die, my dreams are actually all zombie apocalypse scenarios. I always do the same thing, gather my loved ones and ride to this gunshop, load up on ammo. Then head to the docks. I've never made it that far though, not cause I die but because I wake up. My dreams are pretty fun.
I don't recall my dreams very well, and I don't ever remember dying. I have however woken up with the feeling that I was falling numerous times. I am a severe acrophobic.
Mostly falling, but I don't think I actually dreamed about dying...the dream usually switches or I wake up before I hit the ground. I think there has only been on dream where I got shot while dreaming I was hiding under a bed no less...
I've never come close to dying in a dream. The closest thing is when I can't breath in real life due to being in some position that cuts off my airway. I wake up gasping for air, but that's an extremely rare occurrence.
I've had dreams where i'm being chased. I start near my house, and then there is some dense forest that i'm running through. And there are creeks and bayous that I cross. I just keep running, and running and climbing fences and hopping barb wire and stuff like that. Another chase type of dream I've had was that a mechanical dinosaur was chasing me. I'm running too much. One dream i've had was that i'm on a water slide, and i'm about two or three inches off the slide, and it's a steep incline. I keep thinking i'm going to fall of this 10 story slide. I remember being in a fire at my house, and i'm in my bed, but I can't get up to leave the house. Not sure if I ever die in my dreams.
Never die. Had a recurring dream of going off a cliff but always waking up before hitting the water. Last dream of that series I learned I can breath underwater. (it was the same time I started to have faith) I've had 2 or 3 dreams of crashing in a plane. Always live. Even walked back to the ticket counter and got another ticket in one dream. Nope, never die.
I hate these. You feel like you're up and doing what you should be but you're still in bed. I also lose my teeth or they are loose. I'm terrified of that. I don't seem to die in my dreams. Sometimes I wake up from falling but that's early on in the REM stages. I do have a lot of tornado dreams. I hate those.
