At first I was like "No one is that insecure and immature to hold on to something like--"

Then I stopped myself mid-thought and realized we were talking about tinman, the one who holds on to his join date on an internet forum like it's the key to his existence.

Yep, it all makes sense now.

Maybe you didn't see all the negative responses you got for your initial failure of a post... enjoy:

Need I go on? You have evolved from a respected poster to world class prick.

Its actually sad how pathetic he is. He could make a name for himself on this board by keeping up his posting of classic, retro Rockets material. But then he shoots himself in the foot with this whole love-hate Tracy relationship.

Sorry that doesn't change my opinion on Tracy McGrady, the posters who like him, or myself.

You can go on forever dude. It helps your post count.

I don't give a damn about your opinion. I couldn't care less about what you think about Tracy or whatnot. Just suppress your opinion for the good of the BBS and the good of the Houston Rockets period. That's all I've been asking for this whole time. STOP TALKING ABOUT TRACY. You have said it yourself. You are proving nothing, you are changing nothing. Then why do it? What is wrong with you?

you have successfully posted tons of posts on this thread that has nothing to do with Tracy McGrady.

At least my posts, while not agreeing with the popular sentiment that Tracy McGrady is Yao's super friend and super former teammate, is about his past quotes about his feelings when he was with the Rockets.

Your replies will not change my opinion, but you need to be more creative on the insult front.

    you are a boring me.

Posting in CAPS won't help either in changing my opinion.

This thread is about T-Mac. that's the subject. I'm not talking about Hasheem Thabeet here.

No. The topic is about Tracy's appreciative comments towards Yao due to his retirement. You have posted NOTHING about that except that you doubt that he is even running his twitter account. So we can both say neither of us are on topic. You can't really justify anything you have said in this thread tinman.

Adios tinman, may your heart be forever consumed (and I pray overwhelmed) with rage.

I believe it is you who are riled up.

My last post here was responding to this response by SuperMarioBro, who actually read that article
that was way earlier and it wasn't directed at you at all.

Yet you still want to go on this long chat session that has lead to nothing but more post counts.

I'm not the one who needs to chill out. I believe it would be you. You know my opinion so why do you keep asking me the same questions?

So the guy that goes into every single Tracy thread and trolls the hell out of it, pisses everyone off, goes off into mind-numbingly stupid and irrelevant debates, and creates stupid "historic" threads in a pathetic and feeble attempt to boost his own credibility is telling me to chill out? I hope you sense the hypocrisy in your request tinman. This is my last post in this thread. Every thread just turns into a barren wasteland of tinman hatred.

Grow up, not everyone is going to adjust their worldview to suit your tastes.

    I doubt it.

There are two well know Tracy Fans here, tmac1 and TracyMcgradyAdidas.
we differ on the subject of Tracy McGrady's legacy, but we don't try to waste our times attempting to change our opinions. there's other topics out there that we agree on. I see where they are coming from and they aren't outlandish in their Tmac fandom and know their NBA very well.

the one's who don't like my opinion are the exact same ones on every thread. look at their post in previous threads. its the same suspects.

Hey if you keep asking me questions, I'll answer them.

T-Mac just wants to play for Houston and will say anything to make the Rocket's organization proud.

IMO, Yao and Tracy had really good on-court chemistry. Especially running that pick and roll.

Tracy deferred to and passed the ball to Yao, which I always appreciated as a fan.

We literally ran the same pick and roll play with Yao and McGrady over and over again and it was unstoppable for a long period of time. There was literally no stopping that play, and we won so many games we shouldn't have because of that one play.

The beauty of the Yao and T-mac pick and roll is both Yao and McGrady always get way ahead of their defenders. Literally both defenders are behind Yao and McGrady when they both roll to the basket.

If only we surrounded them with more talent. ..

The supporting cast behind them was bad. Really, really bad. Now we have the supporting cast, but not the stars.

The discussion about McGrady says more about the posters than McGrady.

For my part, I have such disdain for him because he put himself first and was lazy. This, in and of itself is bad, but is made significantly worse because it was a slap in the face to his teammates, a group of guys that played their hearts out every night. Hell, there are movies based on that script.

What you had was the most talented player refusing to put in the work and to put team first. Some folks around here just find that utterly distasteful. We hold our stars to a high standard. The folks with the most God given talent should work hard and lift the team, not waste the gift or shirk that responsibility.

Was Hakeem perfect? No. He had his selfish bouts, but when it really mattered, in the defining moments, he rose to the occasion in performance and character.

Was Yao perfect? Hell no. I wish he had been meaner, more "western" in his physicality. But his character and work ethic are unquestioned.

So back to my original point - what is said about McGrady here speaks more about the posters and the standards we require of players. Some folks are more forgiving and are willing to look past things and still respect McGrady for what he did accomplish.

Others, like me, are less forgiving. Mcgracy is not a murderer or a rapist. But that's not the standard and that's not the point. Right or wrong, he took on the mantle of being a "star" or lead player of the Houston Rockets. He and Yao were the face of the team.

I expect certain things for players that take on that mantle, and McGrady blew it, on and off the court. The colors he showed in the face of adversity were ugly Maybe I expect more than others around here, but a lot of pro athletes get it. If you get the money and fame, it comes with expectations and criticism if you fail to live up to them.

It's hilarious seeing 50 yr old men with grudges, and they think taking it out on posters on an internet forum means something.
