Exactly! Thank you for telling the truth. No one here likes Kobe but we all know LeDouche brought all this upon himself.

Put in my place, really? Most people said Miami wouldn't get past the first round, so a lot of people got put in place, before I did in the finals.

Your argument had nothing to do with the Heat's playoff performance. You were arguing that Lebron wasn't an egotistical player. You were proven wrong. So yes, you were put in your place. Really.

Proven wrong? Where? What has he done since he joined Miami, after the decision?

    Yes, proven wrong.

    Here's what you originally said:

After I listed a bunch of stupid things he did in Cleveland, you changed your question to specify Miami. So yes, you were proven wrong.

Btw, did you see his post-game conference after the Heat were eliminated in the finals?

According to your logic if a girl claims you raped her that makes you a rapist. Even if that girl has been known to sleep with many NBA players and later on makes a song about getting raped. From what I've heard rape is a pretty dramatic experience and most people don't want to talk about it much less make a song about it after it happened to them

This thread is based off one year since the decision, that's what I'm basing it off.

Also, there was nothing wrong with his press conf after he lost.

Do you know what Lebron and Wade are doing right now, other then helping kids charity's? They are busy recruiting for Miami, to improve there team.

    Lebron is such a egomaniac.

LeBron James Focusing on Education in Charity

    http://kingjamesgospel.com/2011/07/08/lebron-james-focusing-on-education-in-charity/

James’ annual bike-a-thon that he leads around his home town of Akron, Ohio has taken a face lift this year, and is a credit to the maturing of the former 2 time MVP.

James changed the name of the event from “King for Kids” to “Wheels for Education” and will lead a two-week camp featuring reading and technology classes for 360 children about to enter third grade.

“What helped me in school was sports,” James said. “When I was 8, 9, that was the first time I started playing organized sports and I had coaches around me that stressed education and not being allowed to play if we weren’t doing our schoolwork or being at school on time, things like that.”

“If you compare this summer to last summer, it’s night and day,” James said. “I know I have a lot of work to do, on the court and off the court, this summer. I’m going on to another challenge, and I’m looking forward to it.”

How in the hell does Kobe's rape accusations make Lebron any less of a egotistical douchebag.

Kobe is a egomaniac and he knows that. But unlike Lebron, Kobe is smart with the media and doesn't act like an idiot every month to remind everyone how much of a douche he is.

What exactly does lebron do that's so horible??

So Kobe putts on a good act for reporters... How does thar make him less of a douche?

As a fan... I'd rather players say what they think, good or bad, rather than try to bs everybody!

In a nutshell, Lebron seems to celebrate when he wins and is a sore loser when he loses. Most of the things he's done has been listed already in this thread.

Everyone would probably prefer players be truthful in the media and not put on an act. Lebron does a great job of doing this. But doing this either shows the player has good sportsmanship or none. Lebron so happens to fall in a negative light. So of course, if you're being real in the media, and you're really acting like an egotistical jerk, you're going to get criticized.

I thought lebron only did this on the court. But things like mocking dirk's illness tells me he just doesn't know how to handle his image. This guy should be on Michael Jordan's path as far as brand image. The charity stuff is great. No one is a 100% jerk. I applaud lebron for that. I don't care if it's lebron doing this out of the kindness of his heart, or if he's fulfilling an NBA contract stipulation about minimum charity appearances. At least it's helping.

For someone who wants to be a billionaire, lebron really pushes that line of keeping it real. If he wants to be a billionaire, he's got to loved by the people. The people only get to know stars through the media. So why even act like an idiot in the spotlight in the slightest way?

His priority is not becoming a billionaire, Its wining. He showed that when he took less money to sign with Wad and Bosh.

I think more than anything LeBron is taken out of context. When he says "At the end of the day, people have to go live with their same problems and Ill go get back to my life" (Sorry if the quote isn't word for word) He is not saying he is better than us because he has money! He is simply saying life goes on and fans are gonna have to find something else to do during the summer.

I have played sports my whole life and when I lose, sure i'll slap the other teams hand, but only because they make me! Why would I wanna congratulate someone who took what I wanted! Some may say that makes me a "sore loser" I say it makes me a competitor!

He wasn't making fun of Dirk for being sick, he was mocking the media for making it out to be such a big deal. If you want you can criticize that, but know what they were doing if you are gonna criticize them for it!

It kills me more than anything to hear people bag on LeBron for HAVING FUN during a game! Ive played on some good teams and Ive played on some not so good teams.. And if you have played sports you know how much fun it is when everything is going your way, basketball is supposed to be fun!

Ill give you that The Decision wasn't necessary and the huge introduction of the Big 3 was a bit overboard. But other than that, I just don't see what people are taking about!

It is the definition of hating! The man cant do anything without people overanalyzing and pointlessly criticizing him for it!

How about this... You all think he's an egomaniac?? Stop giving him so much attention. don't crown the next MJ before he graduates high school. Don't put a 17 year old kid on the cover of SI. The guy had unreachable expectations given by the people that hate on him today!

The fact that a Cleveland writer just wrote a book called "The w**** of Akron" is proof of the pettiness and bitterness of the haters that are still butt hurt because they think LeBron owed something to them! The stuff people come up with about LeBron is just ridicules enough to show that they only do it out of hate and really have nothing to base it on!

Taking less money should not be used to Lebron's advantage because the conception is exaggerated.

Lebron could earn 15,000,000 more if he played in Cleveland, but because of the tax situation in Miami he actually saves 11,000,000.

Lebron gave up a lot less than what some people portray it to be.

And if not paying respect to your opponent after a hard fought game is defined as competitive. Lebron has seriously messed up a lot of young athlete's attitude.

Next thing you know winning is defined by premature celebration. Oh wait.

If this is directed towards me you need to be corrected on some things.

I am not a young athelete, I still play ball when I can but I'm not even in high school.

Lebron congradulated the Mavs after game 6 but I'm sure you either don't remember it or you found something wrong with the way he slapped their hands or something

And if it was Kobe, Durant, Rose, Dirk, or Wade (before he teamed up with lebron) the haters would have no problem with calling it competativeness!

It's a double standerd! What most superstars get away with Lebron gets hammered for!

No it's not a double standard. You just said you are competitive because you think not shaking someone's hand after a loss makes you competitive. Lebron James, over the course of his career, has walked off the court without shaking the opponent's hands. And I'm sure that statement was used to defend Lebron.

I give credit for Lebron giving credit, but don't act like Lebron is faultless. He was mocking Dirk when he was in front of the camera, not mocking the media. Don't spin a fairy tale out of it, give Lebron credit for credits he deserves and criticism for criticism he deserves.

I never said not shaking hands makes a competetor. I said as a competetor, it's not something I always want to do. I'm not acting like anything! Watch the video.. Wade actually caughed so they both started joking about how the media should make a huge deal about it.

Read my post above. I'm not excusing everything lebron does. I thing The Decesion was a dumb idea and I think the huge party they threw to introduce the Big 3 was completely unnecesary!
That doesn't mean I have to label him a douche for the rest of his life and critisize him for everything he does from now on! Everyone makes mistakes, that doesn't detirmine what kind of man you are!
