Anyone that would flat out say Yao Ming sucks is a straight up racist or have an agenda against Asians. Yup, it's true. Take it whatever ways you want, but it's a sad truth. Racism still exist today and it's pretty damn sad. Especially in this country.
Well obviously... Doesn't everyone know that? Also by that logic hating hate groups = bad or good? Help me out here people!
Is there more than one way to take such a useless comment? It might even be more accurate to say 'anyone that would flat out say Yao Ming sucks hates people with glass legs and feet."
There's no really no good reason to dislike or have any sort of ill feelings towards Yao Ming. It doesn't necessarily make them a racist, but I'd say it suggests they are a fairly shallow human being. And if someone thinks Yao "sucks" as a basketball player, they suck at player evaluation.
I know Jazz fans that would always say that yao sounds stupid or something to that effect. I tried to explain that speaks more languages than them. They really didnt listen. I dont think they're racist. Just talking out their asses.
It doesn't necessarily mean their a racist? Are you trying to rope people in to believing something that stupid by acting all lukewarm and rational?
I hate Yao, but man do I love me some Yi. <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KyADXpenxzU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> What does that make me? Confused.
This seems like a very poorly thought out and unnecessary thread. I, for one, fail to see how an individual's like or dislike of someone makes them a racist. As fans, we have the right to root for who we choose, whether others root for the same guys or not. I won't bother to ask if you are serious or not, but if you are, do us all a favor and find somewhere else to spread such mindless, baseless, & idiotic opinions.
Don't be silly Only African Americans are victims of racism, high school history class taught me that.
Almost every knowledgeable basketball fan I know likes a healthy Yao Ming as a player. Almost every person who even casually follows Houston basketball likes Yao Ming as a person. Anyone who thinks that suggesting that the Rockets needed to have a better plan in place the last couple of years than "hope Yao gets healthy" is hating Yao, or racism is an idiot. Yao is my favorite Rocket of the last decade or so and I wish him nothing but the best and I hope the Rockets keep him on in some, non-playing, capacity if he wants to remain in the US.
