I dont care what some of you are convinced of. You answer rudely right off the bat at most times anyways.
Steve didn't smoke pot when he was in JUCO, one of only 2-3 guys on the team that did not. So I seriously doubt that he started later. I always heard that his issue was that he became a serious alcoholic, and that contributed to his issues. Also, I seriously doubt that Chuck Hayes said that Francis was on dope. Chuck knows the players code, he wouldnt say something like that.
Little known fact... Sherlock Holmes was not a real person... and Sigmund Freud is dead... The moral is simple: use drugs and you will either turn into a fictional character or die... Word to your mother!
Your not that smart for being the third person already to point that out. Fourth including me who already did and gave you the reason why he was used as an example of that time period of drug use being prevalent among people back in those days.
We also used asbestos in the past.... you fail! You have no point! We learn, and modify our behavior. Doesn't matter anyway.... Steve's issue is alcohol. I can promise you Hayes did not say that Francis is a drug addict. Chuck knows and respects the rules... you keep your mouth shut.
Who are you to tell someone to keep their mouth shut? A nobody. Just a rude person who answered me rudely. One of a couple of rude people on clutchfans who have behavior problems when answering peoples posts you dont like.
i rememebr i told people that steve francis used o pop extasy puills on this forum a long time ago when he was still in his prime, and people thought i was lying, or trying to spread rumors. hell, cato used to snort coke, thats why his game dropped off so tremendously after the dawson contract.
1. I am completely removed from drug culture and quite proud of that. 2. I never read (nor used) the word 'dope'. I read 'drugs'. And there are definitely people who still refer to mar1juana as a drug. 3. See 4. 4. The whole point of my post was that I was under the impression Stevie was smoking the weed but I never thought he was on any harder drugs and so I was essentially asking if he had a real drug problem precisely because while I do think heavy mar1juana usage tends to strip people of their motivation and make them lazy, it definitely doesn't ruin careers (unless you fail a drug test often enough to be banned). I never said nor implied that it ruins lives. Nor do I think that. To the contrary, I think it's generally less harmful than alcohol - but NBA player who smokes pot during the regular season is an idiot. I have friends who quit smoking weed because their 35 thousand dollar a year job does random drug testing and they need to keep that job to pay their bills and feed their children, so if you can't stop smoking weed (just during the season even) to honor your 500k to 20 million a year contract - you're a jerk. Essentially, I was concerned he had become a serious drug addict, i.e. cocaine or heroin and I had somehow missed it. I was hoping someone could settle that for me and link me to a source. Nobody did.
This thread reminds me of that classic interview with Charles Oakley years ago in which he claimed that at least 60% of the NBA smoked pot. When asked how he arrived at that number he said something like, "Well, I know it's more than fifty. And what's one more than fifty? Sixty."
Correction: "Heroine" is not a name for a drug; it is a name for a heroic woman. An example of a heroine is Wonder Woman. Correction: "smack" is one slang term for heroin, "dope" is another, "horse" is another. There are tons of slang terms for all drugs. But "dope" is much more commonly used to refer to heroin than to pot. Referring to pot as "dope" went out of vogue in the 70's and most people who use the word "dope" to describe pot have probably never done drugs or been around anyone who has. Also, in reference to the thread title, it's a little strange to say someone is "on pot," though it would be very common to say someone is "on heroin." People aren't "on pot," they "smoke pot."
LMAO!!!! Steve is addicted to drugs and you wish him well. Tracy Mcgrady left the Rockets on bad terms and you hate the guy. Oh that made me laugh.
I didn't tell you to keep your mouth shut... I said Chuck knows the rules... you keep your mouth shut.
