Reading TMac threads on Clutchfans makes me question whether how many people are here to appreciate the Rockets and how many just love to hate everything.
Classy Move by T-Mac. There is no doubt in my mind that he still misses Houston, even more than his Orlando days. Still reppin the Rox jersey on his page, nuff said.
Haha I don't think Battier understands Twitter's whole character-limit concept. He just splits his giant essays across 20 different tweets.
First, it is nice that Stacy McLady said nice things about Yao today. But that's easy to do right now. Stacy showed her true colors when the going got a little tough. We dont need to rehash what happened. Stacy's nice little gesture today is nice for what it is, and folks can applaud her for the actions today if they so choose. But let's not kid ourselves. Stacy's legacy as a Rocket is a player that was about herself first, that lacked toughness in the defining moments, and that ultimately never lived up to her potential. I don't think any of the Rockets brass would disagree.
If you think that Yao should ever be mentioned in the same breath as Shaq and Duncan as a basketball player then you're just wrong. You're comparing two sure fire top 15 players (top 10 by a lot) to someone who won't crack the top 50.
So you say there's no need to rehash what happened, and yet you proceed with your so original "Stacy" bash at the end of your post. If McGrady wouldn't have posted anything you haters would have complained about that too.
That's a real quote by Tracy McGrady. It's legit. If his tweets are paying homage to Yao, then that's nice of him. Obviously that's not how he felt in that Sports Illustrated article. Tracy says many things, he'd mentioned how he wished he was playing again with Vince Carter, etc. I'd still think the title should have said "Yao" in it to actually explain why we should look at his twitter, but I know the OP wouldn't do that.
