So how are we trying to figure out which team is best?

If we use the website whatifsports like somebody mentioned and take the stats from each players best season to compare teams then that is an objective way of doing things.

If we have others one clutchfans vote on who has the best team then it is subjective as to who had the best team.

I don't have a preference one way or the other but I would like to know which way we are deciding? Of just forget about comparing teams and just draft

If you go stats, then it is likely any team with Wilt would emerge the winner.

We're just doing this for fun and there really is no way to be truly objective about this, so why not let people discuss. After the draft we could do a poll.

Why not do both? It's all in good fun anyway.

    this.

make it like a playoff bracket and then the championship round will end with three teams which everyone can vote on.

the problem with this is that it is a rockets website so Hakeem will have an obvious bias.

I agree, but it's our only option at this point unless we want to drag this out to 12 rounds(which I most certainly don't)

Maybe so, but that's a flawed team anyway. The frontcourt of Havlicek (6'5), Debusschere (6'6) and Olajuwon (6'10) is undersized. You can't expect Olajuwon to get all the rebounds.

Dealio. Now I have an absolutely unstoppable starting five with
    Isiah
    Reggie
    Wilkins
    Mchale
    Shaq

Isiah will be the primary ball handler with his bad boy swag, then I'll have Reggie spacing out the floor, keeping defenses honest. Wilkins will be dunking on everybody from the wing and then I'll have the best two way front line with shaq dominating the paint grabbign every board around and Mchale putting people through the "torture chamber". Ahhh, hello first place

You mention so much about your offense, but what about defense? Who is going to stop Kobe?

    I got a lineup of:

    Paul
    Bryant
    Barry
    Garnett
    Chamberlain

4 out of 5 of those guys have defensive 1st team selections. Rick Barry is the exception, but he is good at team defense.

And on offense? We know what Kobe can do. Chris Paul can set up all of these guys with good looks. Garnett is a great inside/outside threat--he's the perfect complement to Chamberlain in the post, and I have Barry as a shooter to space the floor.

I wanted to get two-way players. That's what makes the difference in a draft like this. Everyone is going to have scorers. You need defenders.

Mchale(3 time all nba defensive first team), and Shaq
(3 time all defensive second team) aren't great defenders? I don't even need to mention there scoring accolades, so that seems like a pretty two way front line to me.

As for Wilkins and Isiah, both were relentless on the defensive end absolutely unstoppable on the offensive side.

Soooo yeah, I have an amazing offense, but saying I don't have two way players and no defenders is ridiculous.

    I never said that!

I just don't think that defense is as good as some other teams. The frontcourt is very solid, but the backcourt is where your team could get attacked on defense.

also, paul and kobe will basically cancel each other out since both are ineffective without the ball in their hands. kobe is used to the triangle offense where he can control everything, so i doubt it would go well when paul is running up the court and kobe is calling for the ball and paul is waving him off.

the only one who is attackable would be reggie. but as you said about barry, it's all about the team defense, and with the front court i have, along with isiah at the point, i'm not too worried about it.
