I never read the books but I just finished the series on HBOGo. I'm so ready for season 2. I loved it.
Small question but I'd just like a yes or no answer. Regarding Robert arryn, do they explore the confusion about where he was supposed to be fostered? So the starks thought it was supposed to be at casterly rock with tywin lannister but it was actually at dragonstone with stannis, right? Does it even matter later in the series (reading clash of kings right now)?
Jon Arryn was going to send him to live with Stannis at Dragonstone, no doubt because he was planning to make his move against Cersei. After Arryn's death, Robert arranged for him to be fostered at CR with Tywin Lannister. Lysa obviously didn't allow either to happen.
[Book] A Dance With Dragons (A Song of Ice & Fire V) I figured some of the long-time Song of Ice & Fire readers will want to talk about this book as they go through it. So, instead of overloading the Game of Thrones Season 1 thread, I decided to go ahead and do it. The Chapter POV list has been released, but could be considered a very mild spoiler, so I'll spoiler tag it. A Lannister always wins his Emmy. Props to the board for swallowing their pride on the Sci-Fi/Fantasy hate and showin' some love. Especially to Peter Dinklage.
Peter Dinklage is gets cross-over respect from folks outside of genre fans He's the Sasha Grey and Yao Ming of fantasy.
