I finished all the side missions before doing the final mission but you can clear out sections you haven't finished even after you beat the last blue mission.

I'm methodical about this stuff. I printed a map before I played and checked off grids one by one. That way I was sure I didn't miss anything.

Got this game for my birthday. Absolutely amazing. Best way to describe it: Part Gears of War, part City of Heroes. Must-have for any PS3 owner.

Its kind of hard to see it as like Gears. I would say part GTA, part Force Unleashed. Maybe Knights of the Old Republic too.

The cover system can be used extensively in this game so I can see it like Gears of War. It does seem to be a mix of many games, the open world = GTA, the decision making = KOTOR. I haven't played Force Unleashed yet but I'm going to guess that it has to do with the upgradability of the weapons.

Yeah and the whole lightning thing. I can see the cover system, but a lot of games have that these days and they always get compared to Gears. Aside from that there's nothing else really similar about the games. If anything cover in games has been around longer than that. I think the old Syphon Filter games used to use them.

The GOW comparison comes from the gritty atmosphere/background. And if you've ever played City of Heroes, you can see where that comparison comes from.

Played the demo and enjoyed it but never bought it, reading all these posts about Infamous is making me want to go out right now and buy it.

Do it. I'm not by any stretch a hardcore gamer due to time constraints, which means I only play the best. And this is up there.

The atmosphere in Gears (GOW is Kratos) was full of crazy aliens. Anyway I just don't see it. I can see City of Heroes.

That said, I think I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to games, quality over quantity.

Finished this game earlier this week (thanks to Sony and their free "We're So Sorry" downloads). My son has been hassling me to get the second one. So we downloaded Infamous 2 demo, and, while the graphics seems to be improved, I cannot get used to the new voice for Cole. Almost to the point where I don't want to play it. Has anyone bought Infamouse 2 and played it through? How does it compare to the first?

I posted a review in the Video Game Review Thread.

I thought the second game was better than the first, but it was a big disappointment that Sucker Punch really didn't fix any of the flaws of the first game. The missions are still repetitive, you play the same side missions over and over, and the morality system is overly simplistic. The voice of Cole didn't bother me, but the plot in the second is pretty cheesy. I was okay with the first and thought the plot twist was good even if it was pretty easy to predict.

If you're okay with the same experience of the first game with slightly better graphics, better combat moves, and all the same flaws, Infamous 2 is for you.
