That's not my words, the international press is calling them "magic quartet" and I picked the term up. Of course they are unproven at an international level. Again, why you always sh.ttin on the youth and things that don't seem right to you. Is that your 100th post that begins with "LOL"?... Yes Kaka is healthy, but Menezes is building a young group for 2014 and Kaka didn't achieve enough in Madrid to fulfill a leader role with the Selecao. That's the point of developing, see what Germany did in South Africa.
LOL, the last time we had a little tiff about football you said it was childish so obviously I'm going to use it every time. I have read a number of reviews on the Brazilian squad but I haven't seen your magic quartet description anywhere. So I wouldn't say "international press" as though this is universally accepted. Just because one journalist thinks this title is deserved it does not make it so. Also you were the one who said you were "falling in love" with this group as though they've been playing together for a long time. I have no problem with youth player either don't know where you are getting that from. I think leaving Kaka out is a big mistake, he's a proven elite midfielder when healthy. He's not old either, I believe he's in his late 20's. Taking on a youth movement doesn't mean you have to get rid of everyone with any experience. It's not like Brazil has better options in the midfield.
Google the term magic quartet and count how many times these 4 names are mentioned, you will need time. The term is used by many, many journalists. Of course you can fall in love with something in it's early stages, these guys been playing games together since 2010, the term is also standing for the big potential the group has. Yes Kaka ain't old, but he fell flat with Real and guys like Ganso, Elano, Lucas, Hernanes, Ramires, Neves, Jadson had very solid seasons. The team is stacked with good midfielders. Kaka had some good games in last games with Real, but these do not justify in bringing him instead of developing guys for 2014.
Brazil was terrible yesterday, the attacking players really showed that they aren't ready for to play the way they need to to win. Too many rushed passes always trying something fancy rather than keep it simple until an opportunity comes up. Lots of problems with Brazil but I think when the World Cup comes around they will be a very different team. I'd rather they start with Lucas Moura Da Silva instead of Ganso/Neymar, he's a smarter player, more direct and not as flashy.
We'll see, 3 more years to find the right squad. Maybe replace Robinho for another guy if he doesn't get a grip and finds his old form. Think Ganso and Neymar are the future stars of the Selecao though.
You're probably right but for this Tournament their styles clash too much with everyone else, they all want to do the same thing.
You are right there a few articles using the term to describe the Brazilians . Regardless I see this as foolish hype machine banter. I like this article in particular: Brazil's magic quartet not so magical after all http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...-so-magical-after-all/articleshow/9095115.cms Kaka is proven, IMO you have to have a guy like that. But I guess that is exactly why you have to play these young guys to find out what you got. I'm sure when the WC rolls around Kaka will be on the squad. I'm a big fan of his so I'm probably a little biased as well.
Kaka didn't deserve to be selected for the team and the problem isn't that he fell flat with Real. The problem is his knee injury from last year. The injury that kept him out for most of last season and when he did come back he was a shadow of his old self. He had some decent performances but on the whole he hasn't looked the same. This is a huge season for him at Real because the talk is that as much as his teammates love him, they feel that there is no way he'll get back to the way he was at Milan.
Yep CB, I think he will be on the 2014 WC too, if he stays healthy he and Özil will be deadly at Madrid, maybe together with Sahin. I will never lose my faith in Ronaldinho though, he's a big head issue(like Ronaldo, Adriano, Diego, Robinho, etc.) but one of their best players regarding creativity, vision, passing,x-factor,... Though he would quit the party-scene in Flamengo, but I guess it was just a wish.
Didn't know the result until this morning. I saw Mexico score and then I had to leave... and didn't want to hear about it until this morning. Chile played its butt off and Mexico was a bit overpowered in the second half. We played like dirt! There are still two games to play. Hopefully we can withstand the Peruvian super power.
Speaking of soccer...since when did FIFA Refs start spraying foam to mark the field? Drawing lines to tell the players where to stand on free kicks and what not...
Some leagues have been doing it for a few years now, I think Brazil was one of the first ones. MLS just started doing it this year. It's up to whoever is running each competition to decide if they use it or not.
I know that the FMF (México's league) was doing it for the past two tournaments... but didn't know if the leagues down in South America were doing this. I know it hasn't been tried in a major tournament. Do you think it works? I think it somewhat does... but if I had a say so in it, I wouldn't have voted for it.
I agreed with you that DD was taking things too far in the Gold Cup thread. But chill the f*** out, man. You've got awfully thin skin lately. 13 players from your team have been sent home from 2 tournaments for various reasons. I think you have to expect that you're going to hear some s*** talking because of it.
and your sr. team lost it's confederation final, your future stars did not qualify for the world cup, and your baby players were recently raped in the world cup. i don't need to s*** talk because your teams performances are doing it for me. swoly, dont be a beech and take s*** from fans who's teams are s***, especially recently.
