My ex g/f ran into the same problem. There were two kids, middle school and high school that did not like her for whatever reason. There was a house between them, but due to the nature of the property, she lived on an odd corner lot and had a small piece of property that ran behind the house next door and on up to these kids property. It was on the poorer side of town, but as a whole, the neighbors in the area were good people. The kids had no respect, would throw pieces of rubbish all over her yard and throw things at her house. I had actually caught them in the action. She tried to talk to their parents, but the mom took their side. The police stated they would talk to them, but since there was no real proof and the nature of the incidents were mild annoyances, there was not much to be done. Eventually winter set in and they stayed inside. Me and her split shortly after that, so I don't know how the saga ended.

Unless they are doing something serious, there is not much you can do. You can send the cops over for every little thing, but it sounds like they have no respect for you or anyone else. You either have to deal with it, hope it goes away or move.

If you get it on video...go shock and awe on them. Press charges, lawsuit, floodlights, MORE cameras. You want to break their wills so they know you are not the guy to **** with. This will hopefully result in them not throwing parties, the kids going back to the other parent (cause you know it's a broken family) and possibly them just moving.

Unfortunately this is the best thing you can do. Plus it seems like you risk even further harassment by them if you take any action.

He should just do everything in his power to make his neighbor's lives as miserable as possible. I hate elitists, but keeping dumbass pricks out of your neighborhood is not being elitist.

I founded out the other day that the stuff I thought those neighbors threw over my yard was actually from some people I had over a few weeks back that threw it where "no one would see" and assumed I wouldn't care. Didn't even know they brought that with them and ate it in my backyard cause I was dealing with other things at the time.:rolleyes:

But that at least puts my mind a little more at ease with the neighbors knowing now it wasn't them that them threw the crap in my yard. When I first seen it sitting there I seriously thought about going over there to confront them about it but glad I didn't. I haven't heard or seen their little late gatherings lately. Could change today though...

The fence, I'm still wondering how it broke. Might of been one of their kids was playing ball that broke it but I'll just leave that alone for now. My backyard gate is aways left opened and I curious if it one of those kids are going in my yard leaving it like that. But the gate is a bit messed up so dunno, could be some strong wind blowing it open. I will be looking into a security cam soon so maybe I'll caught one of those bastards in the act if they are screwing around.

if you have friends who throw trash in your backyard, you have friends who might break your fence too.

The two panels that broke in half were the same ones that were securely nailed back on by me when they were knocked clean off the first time. The gate's lock is messed up so I kinda have to wedge the gate in to keep it shut. You have to lift the gate up before you can swing it open.

    Don't think it's termites...

Hearing the advice from people seems like this would make a good sitcom. Keep me posted.

    Exactly. Attack them with termites.

They'll be surprised by the unexpectedness of the move, at first. Your neighbors, being of a low socioeconomic class, are used to dealing with the police, or nuisance lawsuits. But the termites will throw them off guard. They'll probably respond (weakly) with an infestation of carpenter ants. (All mandible, no bite.)

That's where you'll get them, though, with fire ants. In addition to taking care of your nascent carpenter ant problem (killing the carpenter ant queen, enslaving her unborn brood), those fire ants will chew right through your problem.

Sullen eighth-grader smoking cigarettes in his front yard? They'll leave nothing behind but the ahes. High-schooler swiped your stereo when you weren't looking? The only thing that survives will be the chrome and a new spit-shine on that sweet sweet Pioneer faceplate.

Fire ant bomb their ---es, and show them who rules the neighborhood.

Do you seriously think that you have neighbors sitting around paying attention to whether or not your car beeps when you get out? It sucks that your radio was stolen, but it would be surprising to me if your neighbors have been constantly watching you and waiting for the day your car didn't beep when you got out. If you truly believe they are that vigilant, set up a video camera, get out of your car, lock it without using the remote and wait for them to steal stuff again.

I used to live in a bad area of western Sydney for 20 years and I can tell you, when you have bad neighbours, you do have to be careful about things like locking up.

When we first moved into the area (Where my extended family had lived for years) it was just my Mum, me (2 years old) and my sister (1 year old).

The woman next door had an older teenage son who would cause problems and was hassling my Mum when she would come home with us.

My uncle waited till this punk and all his mates were all out in their front yard acting tough. My uncle was in the army...

He took a baseball bat over and slammed it on the ground, pointed at the woman next doors son and said if my Mum even hinted that there was any trouble being caused ever again, he would be the one that would cop the beating. Even if it was his mates, it would all come back to being on him.

We never had a problem after that.
