Maybe the people who overly emphasize the Rockets' record after the trade deadline should read this post.

The lesson is any success achieved on the back of Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson is not exactly sustainable.

The Grizzlies have one big problem... they won`t be able to sign any superstars because they don`t want to come to Memphis.

The Rockets seem to have a similar problem, but I´m sure that stars will come, if they see themselves as the missing piece to a championship-team here. This team has a bigger market and a better/winning history.

That said, for Marc the questions isn`t Memphis or Houston - it`s Memphis or any other team. And he might find another team more intriguing.

That being said - get that man a houston jersey. I don`t mind if you overpay, he is gonna be a damn good center in this league...

Please don't overrate our talent. A combination of Gay, Randolph & Mayo shuts down any combination we have. We're really not as good as we think we are

I doubt Pau Gasol would be jealous, he's already a 2x world champion lol.

He really is just giving his bro advice, and maybe going to the media so Memphis will know Marc isn't interested in going there without him directly telling them so if Memphis keeps regardless Marc Gasol won't get bashed by the 20 or so Memphis fans.

We traded Lee for Dwight. The only reason he isn't on the depth chart is because we couldn't get a deal done before the lockout.

Our win % all time, with Lowry and Hayes starting, is over 65%.

but as a team we are better, look 3-1 against memphis.

lebron, wade, bosh should shut down any combination dallas have, but dallas won because they were a team.

looks like overpaying might be the only way we get him. or sign and trade, and a big megadeal.

8-11.5 million yearly is very reasonable and not overpaying.

or we can sign dalembert for 7 million yearly or give up assets for biedrins (9million) :(

I´m afraid we`d need to offer more than that. Perhaps as high as 13 million yearly - but I´d be alright with that.

People on this board use the term "overpaid" so much. If Gasol is offered more than 12 million a year by more than one team, then he is no longer overpaid, he is being paid what he is valued at by the league.

Dallas won because they were a deeper team.

Memphis is capable bringing both Mayo and Gay off the bench.

Gasol is already a top 3 center with the possibility of being top 2 (I still rate Bogut over him). There's no such thing as "overpaying" a guy like that.

they left off the last part of Pau's interview:

" I'd like to see him with a franchise that has better options whose name rhymes with Quakers"
