Uhhh where down Hwy6? I was coming from the Sienna Plantation area to the edge of Fort Bend on Hwy6 not too long ago and I don't even think I saw one.
My friend said this before we went out around 11 and I thought she was being paranoid. But state troopers were in the city limits on 45/cullen on my way home just now. Three cops were parked by a wendy's on 45/patton and 2 on 45/calcacade so who knows. All electronic signs mentioned drinking and driving on my way home so maybe they are just cracking down tonight.
Damn, I am so glad I saw this thread on my phone while driving on highway 6. I could have been pulled over if I wasn't surfing clutchfans while driving.
Hwy 6/1960 is a prime location for cops it would seem especially since the speed limit is ridiculously low in some parts. 40-45mph for a "highway"
Saw a couple of roadside sobriety tests underway within just a 15 mile stretch along I-45, but i saw the most unusual one when the whataburger drive-thru line stalled for too long. Eventually the normally inside-sheriff came out to a black altima, woke up the girl asleep at the wheel, started radioing her in & waved the rest of us around to the next window. First time I've ever had to detour around a dwi stop IN a drive-thru line. It ain't legal taking naps in the Whataburger drive-thru!
I'm guessing she was on something if she was asleep at the wheel, but I don't know. I didn't stick around for the show. Followed the detour, got my burger & left.
Highway 6/1960 has so many lights, I don't even see how you can get up to 45 before you hit a light. Kind of like Westheimer.
Believe me they're out there hiding... I saw about 4 or 5 of them around university Blvd/First Colony....
I once went to a Taco Bell drive through at around 1:00 AM and saw a dude going through the drive through in reverse! Surprisingly the guy eventually got his food and went on his way, pulling out onto Shepherd in reverse.
It will be the same tonight. You can use the info as you like. Like they had their lights completely of waiting in the grass. If I wasn't just looking for them I wouldn't have seen them, but I wasn't really drinking. I was just wondering how much money they were going to be making this weekend.
