And we faced one of their lesser SP and didn't face Ortiz or Ellsbury among others.

Token Red Sox fan here - nice comeback win for the Sox tonight. This interleague stretch where they play in NL parks is always tough on them as they don't get Ortiz's bat in the lineup unless they do something crazy like play A-Gone in RF.

Thought you guys might take this one as Wake is so damn inconsistent but I see that your bullpen failed you. Andrew Miller is only making his 3rd start of the season tomorrow for us, so I still don't know what to expect. He might pitch as well as he did in his last start or he might get shelled. I look for Beckett to be dominant on Sunday.

A couple of other things, not like you guys care, Reddick is really showing that he needs to start over the corpse that is known as JD Drew. I look for Darnell McDonald to get the boot (just like Mike Cameron got) when Carl Crawford comes off the injured list which won't be this Sunday, unfortunately. The Sox desperately need some help in RF and a name that I heard mentioned was Ryan Spillborghs.

happ is just awful, this is unreal he's still in the majors. He should be working out his kinks at single A at this point.

Had Ortiz at 0-2 and ended up walking in a run. This is brutal.

I honestly cannot believe how far we've gone from the unbelievable crowds of 2004 and 2005 with stars : clemens, pettite, beltran, berkman, oswalt, biggio, lidge, etc to this collective dump we're watching with more red sox fans cheering than astros fans. Unreal that in 7 years we've become irrelevant, and to be honest I don't see it getting better anytime soon with all the debt the new ownership is taking on.

Same thing being said right now in Cleveland (even though they're in 1st place), LA (dodgers), Seattle and Chicago (Sox).

If you are a mid-market team, you're going to have cycles. The REAL problem with the Astros is that management forgot about player devleopment when they were "packing in the gates" in 2004 and 2005... if they had committed enough resources to the minor league system from 2004-2007, we would be watching the fruits of those drafts.

Instead, you get what's on the field right now... with our MLB prospects from those drafts being Chris Johnson, JR Towles, and Hunter Pence.

If that bounced just a bit more awkwardly, could've been an inside-the-parker. Way to go Bourn.

Andrew Miller seems like a gigantic waste of talent thus far in his career... maybe the Red Sox can turn him around, but here's the perfect example of a "can't miss" prospect turning out to be a dissapointment.

Maybe its a good thing that there are no "can't miss" prospects in a year where we're going to have a top 3 pick.
