    ARTICLE

Wtf is this bull****? No wonder there's a lockout, because the league thinks they $%^ing own the players like little assets. Imagine if you're part a union that goes on strike and the company says, "Ok, a strike's cool and all but too make sure you guys ain't f-ing around behind our backs, here's a list of people you're not allowed to have contact with." The employee says, "Uhhh... I'm not allowed to see my wife it says here?" Douchebag company man: "That's right. Who knows what you two could cook up."

This is the most idiotic thing ever. EVAR!

I read that paragraph exactly like the OP did, at first.

It means team officials can't have contact with family members, friends, not the players themselves.

No not unless one of them gave up playing and joined a coaching staff.

It means that team officials, such as Coach Mchale can't contact players, their agents, families of the players, or apparently shoe representatives... didnt even know there was such a thing.

NBA spokesman says Heat coaches and executives have league lockout clearance to attend Chris Bosh wedding later this month.

But what if a player is a total management stooge and his only family and friends are the team owners, front office guys and employees of the team?

If Austin Rivers was in the draft, does that mean he is not allowed to speak with Doc?
