It is that time of the year again (i.e., a few months from the last sale): http://store.steampowered.com/ A bit new this time (I think?) is this Prize Ticket stuff. I haven't really checked it out, but it looks like you can get tickets for special Steam Achievements. You can then redeem the tickets for certain things. Also get thrown into a drawing where the winners get their top 10 games on their wish list. NeoGAF (as usual) explains it well: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=435779 For Daily Deals, I definitely recommend checking out Witcher 2 and Recettear (haven't played all of the others, so not sure about some of them).
Steam's sales are awesome. Thank god all these developers and companies bought into the Steam digital download era.
Obilivion for $7??? Great deal. My operating system is Windows 7. Will that game work on my computer?
Picked up BTTF, Recettear and Borderlands on day one. Would have gone for Witcher but I won't have time to play for a while so maybe it'll be cheaper down the line.
Civilization series City of Heroes (free to play starting today!). edit- not on steam.....but still Mac and free!
Damn, I bought Witcher 2 not 4-5 days ago from GOG.com. Anyway, picked up Portal 2, Borderlands: GOTY Edition, and the Mass Effect Deluxe Package.
Wait.. CoH is now Free to Play? Like Champions Online? Ok I will have to check that out, I loved CoH and CoV back when they were new, liked them better than Champions now, although they are very similar.
I was waiting to do the same, but then remembered that "down the line" Skyrim will be out, and Diablo III may possibly be out by the end of the year. Now i just have to start playing Witcher 2....
Talking about Diablo 3. We should be hearing about the beta in July 27. Actually its a closed media event so we might be hearing about it after the 27.
