LOL. Touche. This Morris thing with CX has gotten so rediculously out of hand with all the "Getting to know Morris YOUR new franchise player". The guy is going to break his arm patting himself on the back about making the call on Morris. Let it go. We all understand that Morris is a good basketball player. Give it a break now.

So you're saying our guy is gonna get cancer and be gone after his rookie deal?

I wondered why everyone hates you on here, now I know.

I wonder if they're being "clever" with the lockout? That is, Respert can now continue to work with the rookies and young players as he is no longer with the Rockets or NBA.

So Darko Milicic didn't pan out. Does that mean every GM is going to be writing off every other second pick after that?

In my view, its more about: Top 2, top 5, Top 7, top 10, top 14.

The range I think is much more accurate when it comes to rating picks.

This DD-CX fiasco is fantastic entertainment, that gets as close to NBA games as we are ever going to get during this lockout in terms of value for entertainment

    Do not stop CX DD!!!

Its a tie now...time for OT!!!

I met Coach Respert at the basketball 101 for women event this season. Super super nice guy and really made that event fun. Then I met him at a Rockets game in New Orleans after that and was able to chat with him. I'm bummed he won't be returning.:(

Shawn Respert really seemed a truly CLASSY person. And a dedicated, knowledgeable personnel man in player development. Basketball philosophy aside, sometimes you just want a GOOD guy on the staff as an example of professionalism. And yes the Shawn Respert "story" does play into it. Thats too bad.

Now if they hire an ex-Rocket in place like Robert Horry or someone to that effect, then appeal will be restored.

But it seem of Morey treating human man like ASSET :(

All that being said by Yo_yo... we just want you to STFU already! It's really ridiculous the way you constantly contradict everything you say/type.

    So called Rockets fan.

He was also a 6'1 shooting guard that developed stomach cancer.

    You are on fire DD.

He is truly a class act. I have had the great pleasure of spending some time with Shawn and even guarding him in a pickup game at TC. He sill be missed, but I also think with his background and personality he will land somewhere else and be a great asset wherever that is.

Note to self, never ISO a guy who tried to warrior his way through stomach cancer just so he could continue to play the game we all love.

I believe DD didn't know, but damn that was a bad example.

I didn't...it was a terrible example to use given his cancer.

Could have used player of the year Battier......swing and a miss.

Dang DD, there are tons of players you could have cited to try to make your point. You chose the one whose career was cut short by cancer.

it was a stupid, irrelevant, and mean-spirited commented to begin with !!!

the cancer part is just poetic justice for DD to highlight his ignorance and negative attitude.

even if the guy never had cancer, you would still owe everyone an apology for that usless comment.

So is this the thread to talk about Respert or to try to pile up rep by going after DD? DD posts in other threads too guys, maybe you can find what you're looking for there?
