Could you undergo chemo for stomach cancer one day and play an NBA game the next? Could you even last 10 minutes on a treadmill? Ass.
Makes sense. McHale is a HOF player developer. He practices with our Big men and will take on some of the work Respert did.
Okay, well, CXbby you shouldn't have listed Aaron Brooks and Budinger as examples as to why picks in that area matter because by doing that, you suggested that picks DON'T matter. In the end, it's best not to look at the number of the pick and more the player. But yes I agree, pick numbers matter to a certain degree.
Honestly is this not the definition of TROLLING? It is not enough that you have to troll every single Marcus Morris thread. You have to troll a freakin' SHAWN RESPERT thread too?! Pathetic.
I'm not sure at all that McHale is a "Hall of Fame player developer." He's a member of the Hall of Fame as a player. If he's also taking on a lot of Respert's job (which I doubt), I hope he has time to coach. He needs the practice.
Is DD capable of jumping a shark? Your schtick is getting old homey. You've become predictable and a bore to read, sign off already! SSG
This is bothering news... You could always tell that this guy wanted the players to succeed. I remembering seeing him and Ish really give eachother a look of accomplishment after ish made that killer reverse layup... This will definitely upset the players... Guaruntee!
This makes me sad and I didn't even know the guy personally. He seemed to really do his job well. Doesn't seem right.
To be fair to DD I think he flip flops not because he's a troll, its just that he changes his mind a lot. Why does he change his mind a lot? Because a lot of his posts come from gut feel, I don't think he really puts a lot of effort into making his post cohesive, so every time he posts he just types every thing stream of consciousness style. Case in point would be C-bud. A lot of posters might not know this, but when DD first heard C-bud was drafted he HATED him. People posted those highlight vids of C-bud that makes anyone look like Kobe and all DD said was that he was "not impressed". Then summer league came along and DD was suddenly leading the Chase bandwagon.I don't think it makes him a flip-flopper, its just that DD didn't know anything about the dude and after the SL he realized he was wrong and changed his mind. In this case while DD was technically talking about Respert with the lottery pick remark he was probably taking a not-too-subtle dig at Marcus Morris, and was just using Respert's career as a segue. Why he's hating on MM without seeing him play is beyond me, maybe because MM is a threat to his boy C-bud. Kinda' reminds of how he kept on downplaying Lowry because Brooks was the starter last season, and how KM was "fool's gold" and worse than C. Lee because he wasn't a two-way player...
No, what I am saying is that we should temper our expectations of the 14th pick, because normally those guys do not pan out as much more than role players.... DD
PS. Did not know that Respert had stomach cancer, dang. Still sad to see him go, liked what he had to say and what he did for the organization/players. DD
if you guys dont like DD's posts, just ignore them. i don't see why all the hate. it's like every thread he posts in, you guys follow him around and heckle him. it's silly.
It's ok, I am used to it......the serfs are rarely satisfied with the King's decisions. LOL - I kid I kid. DD
can you imagine a "fan"like that back in the championship days ... kenny smith vs sam cassell, vernon maxwell vs mario elie ... i'm so glad i never knew anybody like that back then because i would have choked the piss out of them.
I am not HATING on anyone.... I am saying meaure your expecations, nothing more. Dang....lots of leaping around these here parts. DD
Well, to be fair, you did ballyhoo Aaron Brooks and Chase Budinger A LOT over the past couple of years, so it's only fair for people to take your "temper your expectaions" comment, and go off the deep end with it. To come back and say NOW (especially in a thread about Shawn Respert) that we need to pull the reins on our expectations of Marcus Morris seems a little disingenuous.....especially when you didn't heed that same advice whatsoever when it came to the aforementioned Brooks and Bud.
