I'm not talking about solipsism. I fear my point has been missed...possibly because I failed to explain it properly.
Looking at my wonderful family, there was a time i shed a tear wishing that there is a scientific proof for an afterlife. And although i have my faith in fairy tales, i also have my faith in substantial proof. So where does that leave me? Let's say whatever comes, it's best to leave good memories behind.

this video is slightly offtopic, but it should strike a chord with those who struggle to see purpose or exceptionalism in existence without an afterlife. <iframe width="480" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ptwEV0xhTzI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I want you to know up front I respect your right to believe whatever you choose to believe about Christianity, but I would like to clarify one point. As a Christian I don't personally believe that my sins are sending me to Hell. A central belief of most Christians is that we are forgiven of ALL our sins past, present, and future because of the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. We believe that he took our place and is our Advocate before the heavenly court. This is not a license to sin because all sin is destructive behavior and ultimately negative, to be avoided. But when I do stumble, He picks me up and sets me back of the right path. Knowing that God loves me unconditionally and I am in his good "graces" is very comforting. You perhaps think that this is all very silly, but I wanted you know that my daily life as a Christian is not like you describe.
I don't think it's silly, but I do think you are giving credit you should have away to an imaginary friend. You pick yourself up buddy. Give yourself some credit.
