The hyper analyzation by the talking head is just crazy. One chick is a crime novelist. . . she writes fiction but she analyzing everything ole girl does like it is the cure for AIDS and The Stations seem to be taking it so serious. Yes, I've been watching the actual trial during the day. I don't watch any of the coverage on the news channels. It is an interesting case with a lot of twists and turns. This trial is similar to something you would see on one of prime time news magazine shows like 48 hrs, only you are watching it unfold in real time. If you like to watch lawyers performing in the courtroom, this has been an entertaining trial. I'll be disappointed if Casey Anthony doesn't testify, but I have a feeling she won't.
I was staying away from this trial because I thought they were just exploiting it because of her looks, but after watching an hour long special summarizing the trial I'm hooked. The amount of lies she's been caught in is unreal and I'd be shocked if she doesn't get convicted. Would still hit.
I've heard she won't testify because there is a apparently a strong case for appeal and the lawyers don't want her to have any testimony on record in case of a new trial.
Some 28 yr old guy was just found in contempt of court for flipping off one of the prosecuting attorney's. It was priceless watching the judge come down on him with Casey Anthony watching, giving her a future glimpse to her own fate.
Well, as if this trial wasn't already strange enough. The Judge just threw a spectator in jail for six days for giving one of the prosecutors an obscene hand gesture while court was in session. Edit: RocketsPimp beat me to it. Yes, that was very swift justice for that kid.
On the subject of child abuse and endangerment, Texas has not had a good day in that regard. (Don't click on those links if you're easily pissed off) Just more fuel to my argument that you should need to pass some sort of exam before being allowed to have children.
They're saying about 5 days or so. I'm thinking she won't get the death penalty, but life in prison. There's no DNA evidence like for OJ, but I don't see any possible reason to think that someone else killed her kid. Sign me up for conjugal visits if she gets life.
It's weird. I don't feel like the prosecution actually proved she did it, but based on the evidence and the actions of the people involved, she seems like the only logical choice.
I have no idea if the people lauding her attractiveness are even quasi-serious or not, but I could not find this woman attractive after what she did.
