Need to get this guy, not perfect, but highly efficient. The efficiency level of Nene + Kevin Martin would simply be nuts!
Nuggets are rebuilding. Time to offer some of our young assets (lol) for Nene. Picks too. Whatever. Just get this guy to be our starting center.
He would literally be the perfect cure to our lack of height in the paint - while not known for his defense he is sufficient thanks to being nearly 7 foot and having a lot of touch - we would be a little bit too large of a roster but we could flip a 3 for 1 type of trade in there or something. Lowry Martin Starting SF Scola Nene I think we can plug any of T. Willy, Patterson who wants to learn the 3 more, Marcus Morris or Bud there and still be a solid 4 seed and be able to maybe make a nice run. If we really want to maybe we try to swing a 3 for 1 type of deal that allows us to keep our core 4 (Lowry, Martin, Scola, Patterson) and net someone like Iggy or Granger.
I wish we could get this guy; he’d be way better than Biedrins. I wonder who that third mystery team was on his "wishlist" from awhile back. Mavs…Heat…Rockets?

Here's your source: http://twitter.com/#!/STEIN_LINE_HQ/status/86296007591206912 Thought it be obvious it came from Marc Stein's Twitter by the way I posted. Guess not...
If the cap figure remains about the same, the Rockets should be able to make a competitive offer. Right now, Gasol and Nene are the only FA I'd be willing to throw big money at(and potentially destorying our ability to offer max to someone next year).
Rockets need to get this guy. This guy is so good in the paint on both sides the ball which makes him a little better than just a pure defensive stud like Chandler. He's a 2-way player and plays above the rim. Nene and Scola will give teams hell. Both players can score around the basket above .500%. Nene may not be a shot-blocker, but he's a very good post-defender. 5 years 42 million is a pretty good contract, but would be better if it was 4 years.
You're misinterpreting. The two aren't saying anything that conflicts. Denver can (and will) offer substantially more money than the Rockets, but they don't get the automatic right to match other offers to retain him. If for some reason Nene wants to take a mid level exception type of deal, he'd be free to do so. There's just no real reason for him to leave that much money on the table.
The Rox would have to renounce their rights to Yao and Hayes to get the cap holds off the salary cap in order to make a serious offer to Nene.
Ipad 2 for Nene will seal the deal. If we do get Nene, Yao will have to go because I don't think Nene is here to be Yao's backup, or Chuck Hayes. Nene is in the same mold of Tyson Chandler, so I strongly like this possibilty. K.Mchale, $ and Ipad 2 should seal the deal
