I like dragic. But we have Lowry and now Flynn. Plus lee and t-won't who can handle spot point duties. I would consider bundling goran in deals to upgrade our center spot. What do you think a goran-bud-hill platter could land us? That would open some roster spots too.

Too bad we didn't swap Hill for Lopez last year with the Brooks/Dragic trade.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the Rockets proposed that but were quickly shot down by the Suns.

Also, speaking of trades, the Rockets can now trade Dragic or add him to any trade package, since he can no longer become a free agent this summer.

Bima, I think that should strongly be considered since we have Flynn - at his lowest value, plus with word app and lee would can both point in short stints. Agree? Dragic has some value and is likely to get 4-7m in his next contract...

I agree that--from among Lowry, Dragic and Flynn--the player with the best combination of trade value and expendability is Dragic. Most notably because he'll be a free agent in 2012.

Why is it when the Rockets have more than 2 guys playing in the same position who look like they can walk and chew gum at the same time, people start demanding that Morey cull the herd as if they were some sort of invasive species? :)

Remember when Dragic averaged 45 mpg during the last 3 games of the season when Lowry wasn't playing? Sometimes it's not so bad having a third PG for such situations.

Yeah looks like he does need to spend a little time playing pickup ball with the guys.

I would much rather keep Dragic. At this point, he is a better player and cheaper and he has already established himslef as the backup PG quiet well. Not worth gambling on .

Flynn has a $4.3 mill team option for 2012 then a $5.7 mill QO the season after. Screw that. If judging by performance then Dragic certainly has better trade value. If someone was looking to shed salary then Flynnn's $4.3 mil TO has more appeal.

    I'd just keep both.

If we need to trade one of them, I'd only do it in a package for a star player. In that case whoever the other team wants I'd just give that player to them. I assume Dragic would be the more desirable, but hey, a former number 6 pick 2 years ago wouldn't make a bad backup PG, would they?

I would sooner trade Flynn than Dragic, this guy is a keeper.

Hey, I only said that Dragic CAN be traded and that he would be the most plausible candidate to be traded and bring back value without messing with the team's core.

    I never said I advocated such a move. ;)

So, lots of b****ing from DD and maybe a few others now about the Rockets picking up Dragic's option instead of declining the option and making him an RFA.

Here is a thread made on the day the decision was made in late June 2011, let the record show that exactly zero posters b****ed about the decision in this thread.
