    lol seriously

save a little future cap money? $18 million seems to be more than a little if you ask me.

not a fan of biedrins though but GMs should go back and read what they say sometimes.

It seems like you believe the Scola era will see another contender....

...I dont know how to break this to you, but its not likely.

Beens shoots worse that Chuck Hayes, but what the hell, it's something. Hill has a chance to be better than Stromile Swift. Carl Herrera is Hill's ceiling.

I thought the Battier trade was @$@$ awesome. If anything it made the Spurs get owned in the first round. That alone was worth 10 times the trade itself. Lol.

    Using...?

And if Nugs are serious about retaining Nene's 'talents', then why allow an SnT?

Keep Scola? Unless Hill can play center, we really need to move two PFs. Trade Hill and keep Hayes at center, we still have Scola / PPatt / Donatas. If we get hold of a true center, Hayes makes 4 PFs. Oh yeah, Morris is part PF, too.

We really only need 6 in the frontcourt:
    CBud / MMorris
    Scola / Donatas
    Hayes / Biedrins?

with Hayes and MMorris able to slide over to PF if need be, and Motiejunas maybe being the 3rd center.

You thought we'd have cap space to sign him outright? What do you know about the new CBA?

That's rather convoluted, CH, but fun to read. I think you have a future writing for Game of Thrones on HBO. Convoluted is the operative word there, and I've read the books. Hell, the books are convoluted. See? You'd fit right in, and most of the characters are human beings. :)-

Huh? Where did I ever suggest Rox could sign him outright???

I know enough about the CBA to know Zeke bankrupted it!

I mean, the new CBA that hasn't been agreed on yet.

If we aren't S&T'ing him, we have to have cap space to absorb his salary. Or an exception, but I can't think of an appropriate one.

I wanted that Biedrins from that playoff series against Dallas. Not so sure about the this often injured Biedrins who appears to have lost a bit of motivation to play, especially with $27M left on his contract.

This could backfire on us big time.

"On the roster front, director of basketball operations Kirk Lacob said he did grant an interview with the French website BasketUSA.com, which reported this weekend that the Warriors turned down the Houston Rockets' draft-night trade offer of Hasheem Thabeet and Jordan Hill for Biedrins.

However, Kirk Lacob said much of the interview was lost in translation. He said a Biedrins-for-Thabeet-and-Hill deal was not discussed, but the three players were part of potential multiplayer deals that probably would have included other Warriors assets."

I was joking about the Continental B'ball Assn, but you knew that.

The problem with Jordan and Gasol and Nene et al is that the Rox are not attractive SnT partners because there are no larger, expirings to couple with young studlies to effect such a deal; and no sufficient cap space under expiring or projected CBAs.

Therefore, DM the GM trotting out former Lottos hoping to strike magic is understandable, if, perhaps, a disappointment in the waiting?

Clearly if we want Biedrins, we'd have to involve a third team that netted the Warriors a 5. One that played some defense. But if such a player was out there, wouldn't we aim for him ourselves?

Of course, there's trade exceptions, taking on salaries, adding superfluous point guards, etc. to go into all this, too.

Houston indeed offered Hasheem Thabeet for Andris Biedrins but its package included Brad Miller, not Jordan Hill. New York Post

Interesting that we did not offer both Hill and Thabeet, as had been reported. Perhaps Morey still feels Hill can be salvaged. Unfortunately ...I don't.

@ryenarussillo: Good to know Houston only offered Thabeet for Biendrins, can't include superstar J Hill. Can't believe it didn't work. #sarcasm

@ryenarussillo: I'm pretty sure HOU knows Hill isn't valuable. It's just that Morey is notorious for offering garbage in trades

sounds like Russillo thinks Hill and Thabeet would get it done but Morey is the one being hesitant about including Hill....
