regardless how you want to spin it we still got the pick that we would not have gotten with out trading Shane. Thebeet has had no effect on the Rockets and Memphis would have signed Gasol regardless of Thebeets contract.

Morey definitely made out with that trade.

Hill is a bust, and he will be no better than chris wilcox. The sooner we get rid of him the better.

If the trade went through Biedrins would not be the staring C, much less the only center on the team, lol.

Im pretty sure even Kahn wouldn't do that trade, considering GS is probably a lottery team- not too sure what mark jackson is smoking. I would go as high as dragic+hill+second round pick for biedrins. I would hope for dragic+thabeet+2nd for biedrins considering thabeet might never be good enough to play in the NBA.

This was mainly reported by Houston media. Other outlets seem to emphasize that the Warriors didn't like our offers

GSW would give away Beans. Lacob is making a feeble attempt to increase his trade value. What would you expect different... "Gee, Biedrins has sucked bad the past two seasons... we are hoping some other team will take him off our hands."

Folks pointing to his rebounding numbers of the past... keep in mind the Warriors put up a lot of shots and miss a good portion of those. And... they are a small team, so he got a lot of rebounding stats. They added Lee last year and Biedrins rebounding fell off.

*IF* we end up trading him, there better be a first rounder coming with him. And don't be surprised if Houston fans start screaming for his trade out of town... that's what GSW fans are doing...

Warriors Aren’t Just Giving Away Biedrins

    By Marcus Thompson

The consensus comments from Warriors fans is that the Warriors should pull the plug on this.

    I'm worried...

I totally agree with Kwame on this.

I would do the deal immediately and even throw in a couple 2nd rounders or something like that.

    LOL.

Thanks for the "With all due respect."

The more I think about it, though, given the contracts, I'd decline to re-sign Thabeet on 10/31, and try harder to make Hill into a center. $9 million a year for 3 years? I think that's ridiculous.

    With all due respect.

And to DD, yes, if it were my money, this is what I'd do.

    Wait, let me go farther.

I don't believe Morey will sweeten the pot on this deal. I don't believe he will do the deal as it is. If anything, I think GS will offer more.

But, I will respect whatever Morey does.

We should know in about a week.

    Let me ask this...

Has Morey ever been "raked" in any trade?
We've always come out on top or at least even in terms of value.
What makes you think he will offer 2 youngs with expiring contracts for
    just a injury riddled/offensively limited/soft minded center.

I think Morey might have offered Thabeet OR Hill for Biedrins and GSW
got greedy and wanted more. They got mad that we were the ones who leaked information but probably did it themselves. Our management is quite tight lipped (think about the draft and how we all knew that Klay was going to GSW but no one had any idea who the Rox were going to pick).

We will get good value back, look at the trend of trades.

Due to cap concerns, If GSWs trade Biedrins, it will likely be after July 1... which is when the lockout will start:

Good. It would be dumb to trade for him before knowing the details of the new CBA.
