This was his second season. After his third, Rockets wanted him to put on more weight, which I thought was stupid. If his game was based on speed, why would you do anything to ruin that? You could tell that he got bigger last season.

I would take lowry over brooks any day, Lowry is what ever you want in a point guard. He looks to pass for the better shot instead of Brooks dribble dribble turnover or dribble dribble shoot.

Brooks was unstoppable and crazy-fun to watch at the times he played like he did in that clip. But he shot us out of as many games as his scoring kept us in them, and if his shot wasn't falling he was a detriment to the team. Defensively, he was always a weak link, and his mediocre point guard skills made him a one-dimensional player.

The perfect role for Brooks, as I've seen mentioned around the board in the recent past, would be the Heat. He wouldn't have to be the primary ballhandler, his shooting would help space the floor and he'd draw some of the D away from LeBron/Wade, allowing them to run roughshod.

If that's not a possibility, I think he needs to check his ego and be a 6th man virtuoso, a la Jason Terry. There's no team in the league that couldn't benefit from the scoring punch he'd provide off the bench. I just don't see how a team could be totally successful with him playing as the primary ballhandler. Maybe the Lakers? The triangle might be complementary to his skill set.

Lowry had a better season last year, but a healthy Aaron Brooks is the CLEAR choice. You guys forget how valuable Brooks was in the playoffs and the after.

Consistency in the NBA is hard, especially if you want to be a really good player.

Brooks had one very good year, then flopped.

Lowry had a very good half a season, so let's see how he does next year.

I think a lot of these guys have Adelman to thank for their offensive production IMO.

There's no question Brooks is the better player skill wise but if I had a choice between Lowry and Brooks to run the offense I would pick Lowry. If only Brooks was 2-3 inch taller.

Uh, the Rockets were successful with Brooks as the primary ball handler. He wasn't the reason they didn't go farther.

Yeah you're right, that's why the Rockets starters were a net negative when Brooks on the court last year, and only won games because Lowry picked them up, and this year's starters were 6th best in the league.

    Lowry > Brooks.

I was talking about the finish of the team by beating Portland, I am sure Lowry could lead a good team too.

Let's just hope that Lowry doesn't fall off the cliff numbers wise like Brooks did last year.

Allen Iverson 2.0. Too bad he tried to turn into Douchebag Iverson prematurely as well.

Brooks stepped his game up so big in that series. So fun to watch.

Man, I miss the old Brooks. He was one of my favorite players until he started to hurt the Rockets. Hopefully he returns to beastly AB.

    That's you're opinion

But the FACT is when Brooks was healthy, we were a more dangerous team with him running the offense.

Don't think Brooks was ever a douche. He felt the team didn't value him
