He's not really lying. He only needs a quarter of an inch to reach 6'9.

That's a problem you should take up with the moderator of this forum (Clutch, or another poster.)

The "edit" feature should be made available for every member, regardless of status, since I think right now only Contributing Members can do this?

So just me reading into the Rockets brass mind, Marcus is the heir apparent to the starting 3 spot and Parsons is a fallback in case Bud struggles again or is needed to complete a blockbuster trade. Parsons will most likely spend most of his rookie season with the Vipers while Marcus will maybe be there for a short stint.

They'll be trading somebody out of the 2s and 3s. My guess is Lee.

He doesn't have a quick first step, so it's going to be hard for him to create his own shot outside of back-to-the-basket play.

That would be a big mistake unless Lee wants to leave.

Exactly, his first step is slow to say the least and his ball handling looks mediocre. The transition to the three will be hard on both ends of the floor. I could see him as a slightly better overall player than Landry, who can complement Patterson.

His first step is good enough. I think all this nonsense about first steps is overrated. If you can score, you can score. Especially one as skilled as Morris.

Why don't you contribute to the board you are currently enjoying, then you wouldn't have to whine about who gets to edit and, more to the point, why you cannot.

He can catch and shoot, which is a plus point, but ball handling and the ability to create one's own shot off the dribble quickly along with speed differentiates the very good players or stars from role players.

He will be all right,he is good enough for the 14th pick. He has a good skill set,but Caron Butler and Shawn Marion were faster than him when they joined the league. I think he will be an undersized hardworking 4 who can get some minutes at the 3. Defending 3's and 4's will be challenging for him.

Needing a quick first step is overrated...its not like he's slow. He's got solid speed. As long as he knows how to get defenders on their heels or stepping the wrong way, he'll be able to get a step on them. Plus, saying that he's going to have a hard time creating a shot outside of his post game is an unfair assessment. Are they banning posting up? Will he not be allowed to post up if he's playing the three?

That's the beauty of this guy's game, he can go to his post up game against smaller or quicker defenders and step out on the slower ones. Heck, he can post up 100% of the time if he wants to, as long as it's effective. And there's no reason for him to try and drive on defenders that often, especially in this offense. 70% of his game can be a combination of posting up, catch and shoot, and garbage plays. Also, the driving part doesnt have to be isolation plays every time. If there's ball movement and the defenders scramble he's quick enough to use that against them by throwing a fake.

Having a post game, for any player, automatically makes scoring THAT much easier especially when you have a size advantage.

It demands immediate double team if you are bigger and stronger than the person you're guarding.

His post up game and catch/shoot will be useful, but driving will be necessary. That part will be harder for him along with defense. SF's will struggle against his post up game, taller and bigger PF's will be put on him to negate his advantage. He will do well, but it won't be easy as it seems.
