Interesting, that package is pretty much nothing but it does indicate that they are willing to take on salary in order to push for an 8th seed

The Warriors are lucky that anyone has even considered taking that contract off their hands. Of all the injury prone centers in that cost range (Kaman, Varejao, Haywood) Biedrins is the worst.

That package doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Hill and Thabeet may not be particularly valuable chips, but they're basically the only players on the team who can play center (sorry, Chuckwagon is a 4). So basically we would have exactly one center on the roster and that would be the injury-ridden Biedrins...

About what I thought. Morey ain't gonna offer Scola like some people here seem to think he'd do.

They'll take it eventually. I'm all for bringing Andris to Houston. He has been injured these past few years, but I'm willing to take a risk on this guy since he can rebound and block shots. I'm not worried about his offense, as long as he gets some put backs here and there, I'll be happy.

Jordan Hill is not a stiff. We just question if he's always motivated and prepared...but I can see why the Warriors would decline that.

Hill and Thabeet basically can't play any position (sorry, Jordan and Hasheem are stiffs who are not very good at NBA basketball).

He can run an jump and even make some shots, but his awareness level on the court is pretty bad.

We've pretty much gone with 2 with yao down, chuck and either hill or brad. The last two sometimes only played because chuck needed a break or we were forced to put in some more size. Biedrins/chuck would still be 2. Im not sure if donatas is coming over already, but he could be 3.

    This.

Who cares if we give away Thabeet and Hill, lol. I would trade them for a bag of peanuts if I could and call it a day.

try pawning off "potential" onto another team... If Hill and/or Thabeet actually get "it" and show some desire to turn potential into actual talent, it would surprise a lot of people.

Granted, they are big time projects with a tiny chance of NBA success. I'm just not sure what Morey has up his sleeve here. Even if we re-sign Yao, going into the season with Yao and Biedrins only, sounds like a disaster in waiting. You can't really afford to put either guy on the floor for more than 25 minutes so what do you do when one of them gets injured (when, not if)?

If this is an offer it implies p[retty loudly that HT/JH are not, NOT, in Rox plans. Two years ago I was an AB-guy (ok, two AB guys ) but not today, not when Bismack is a free throw machine in comparison - - what, have to pull the only legit 5 at crunchtime?

Bierdins - Scola I can live with; as long as GSW adds a #1 (even if it's a draft position switch op with NickPick) + #2.

Even if its a wash, we gain a roster spot.

That's what Chuck Hayes is for. The Rockets had decent success once he began playing heavy minutes at C. I don't think Daryl Morey, or McHale, is too concerned about Hayes playing C.

Chuck Hayes at C is much better than Thabeet at Hill anywhere on the basketball court.

I think if we could get Biedrins for those expirings, it is a precursor to trading him and Lee to Chicago for Asik, Korver, and Ronnie Brewer.

Has anybody ever watched this guy play? He is a BEAST on the boards with excellent post defense. He put up 12/11/1.5 in 30 minutes of playing time, with 58% FGs. Yes he is injury prone, but guess what, if he wasn't, then you would have NO chance of getting him. Why are we even thinking about this guy? We need to get this guy and laugh all the way to the bank. At $9 per year for 3 years, he is a bargain for sure. I would start with Budinger/Dragic, 1st round pick, and fillers, but if you know that he's "healthy", I'd even go as high as Lee + 1st round pick.

I'm really, really tired of seeing Chuck at C. Love the guy, but he just doesn't have the height for it. He has the strength and toughness in spades, but any time we have to play a team with a center who can actually shoot over him and knock down the shot, Chuck gets abused.

There have definitely been times when bringing in Jordan Hill and his length have visibly improved the defense over Chuck playing center. Doesn't happen much, but in certain matchups, it's true.
